Sadly, I haven't had a chance to film all 12 versions and their comparisons yet. I overestimated how much time I'd have between work, kids, and going back to school full time. When you're at Savi's, you pick just one theme and build your saber from that. Disneyland currently lets you buy the unused pieces for $25 each if you want, but Disney World does not. But if you buy more than one saber, you can mix and match them to your heart's content when you get home. On my site, you can go to the product page for a particular theme to build your mockup with just that theme, or use the main Savi Builder page to mock up a cross-theme build. The pieces I don't include here are the staff coupling and the limited edition animal theme pommels they sell in the creature stall.

For the Chosen One set, the Ep 2 Anakin and the Ep 3 Vader are both new (previous Vader was Ep 4). Folks are speculating on whether one or both might get a grey crate release after the box set sells out. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. My guess is the Ep 2 Anakin will and the Vader Ep 3 won't, but who knows. For the Clone Wars box, none of the hilts are new. Just the box.

I haven't done a deep dive on them yet (and haven't seen anyone else do one either). I know they changed the system withint he last year, so the blade and electronics core are now one piece, with the emitter, switch, sleeve, and pommel screwed on to that core piece. And the nature version is really, really nice looking. They had it on display and I thought it was a Legacy saber. I might try to do a video on them when I go again in November, if I can find someone to hold the camera.

@@Sxifeditz7 They both have their benefits. The Legacy ones are cheaper, more convenient to park-goers, are decent enough quality for most folks, and have the very handy blade system. FFXE have nicer electronics and (sometimes) slightly nicer hilts, but are more expensive, blades aren’t replaceable, and are a lot harder to find. Having lots of options for folks to choose from is a great thing in my opinion!

The difference is that you're not meant to remove and attach a katana blade regularly. The design itself if sturdy and very katna-like. But the usability as a toy, ot so much.

You're right to be confused as the official communication around this has been really bad and changed a few times. Based on what we know now, the first 100 have been signed and will be abailable at the link in the description at 8am Pacific on the 12th. Once those sell out, there will likely be a separate listing for the other 2900 non-signed sets. Whether or not you'll need to be a D23 member for those, and exactly when they'll become available is currently anyone's guess. I'd recommend keeping the browser bookmark for a "lightsaber" query on DisneyStory.com readily available and check back often.

@@TheRockster27 Nothing new. Just get online 20 minutes before it goes live, make sure you're already signed in, and keep refreshing until it puts you into the waiting room. Then hope for the best.

​@@TheRockster27 Update: Looks like the non-signed Clone Wars sets will be released on the 19th at 8am Pacific. No word on whether or not D23 Gold is required. And the leftover Chosen One sets are now available at Dok Ondar's at Disneyland (not Disney World).

They should since they had the vote on that one 4 years ago and realessed all the sabers on that first vote except for the Anakin padawan and the other ornate saber

I would be surprised if they sell out at D23, considering how much other exclusive merch is there too, competing for people's dollars. With the D23 Obi-Wan set, it went to Disneyland about a week later and took several weeks to fully sell out. So the chances of finding a "smuggler" to get one for you from there should be better. Happy hunting!

You have to line the blade up to the groove and then make sure it's pushed all the way in, so that the hole in the blade connector lines up with the hole in the metal.Try wiggling it around a bit so the screw goes through without the hilt, then try it with the hilt.

@Fanporium so I tried sticking it through the blade by itself and it wouldn't fit. So I had to use a drill bit to make the hole bigger and now it's fine. Thanks for the advice though. Must have been a defect
