    the a300 is a much better deal. the 1301 tac has gotten over $1600 now. a few things you didnt mention were the chrome lined and better barrel on the 1301, as well as the longer throat of the system makes the shotgun last longer and more reliable. The 1301 is just overall much more quality parts and the best operating system you can get. The ultima is the better deal at $899 retail though.

    I have the 1301 Tactical Marine which has a silver in color finish that’s supposed to hold up better around salt water. I wanted to get the OD green one but couldn’t find it at that time but at the day what difference does color make? Absolutely none. This is an amazing shotgun and while the M4 is considered the king in this category I have had both and would take the Beretta every time, it’s lighter, more comfortable to handle and I’ve never had a failure in more than a thousand rounds whereas the M4 seems a bit more ammo selective. Beretta is one of the best manufacturers in the world when it comes to forearms and the 1301 is a prime example of that.

    1301 is lacking mlok on hand guard to mount light, etc and deserved a better stock so add ~$350 + the 1301 is actually $620 more than a300. So you’re really looking at $1000 difference

    The biggest draw back for me on the A300 is that you are limited on the stock. I love the Magpul shotgun stocks and they will not work for the A300. The 1301 can use the Magpul stock with an adapter.

    I have the a300 and love it and am lead to wonder if your shorter split times for the amazing 1301 could also be affected by the pistol grip which could give you better control of the weapon. I jumped for the Ultima Patrol with all the hype of the new hotness and am not sorry to have done so, probably would still be hesitating over the 1301 otherwise. I'm in Canada and not sure either of these are legal here; they'd have to have a 'factory mod' to 6 max, (I think for Canada) but Mee-Likey!

The 1301 is made in Italy which is restricted to 5+1 capacity and you’ll most likely have to spend additional money for an extension tube to make it 7+1 or whatever capacity you like.

    Honest question here. If the military figured a gas system was more reliable in stressful situations 6:55 (where you might not have it pulled in to your shoulder tight...or you change the weight by adding accesories thus changing the reliability of inertia shotguns) then wouldn't the M4 or 1301 be significantly more reliable than the a300? Ie. Wouldn't a gas system be more reliable?
    No one should use light birdshot in self defense situations anyways so i don't really care if any of these guns have problems with range ammo.

    have you even loaded these guns? The loading gate on the A300 is HIGHLY modified and much easier to quad load or double load big time. Not even close... Cost to get a gunsmith to open that up would be 300 to 400 bucks easy. And if you time your splits I bet your not much faster with the 1301 than you would be with A300.... Not many 3 gunners using Beretta 1301 I can promise you that. Yes I have shot both. My M2 that is used in 3 gun runs like a swiss watch but it is meant for competition. Given a price difference of $850, do you think it's worth the move to a 1301 Mod.2? Also, that $850 premium includes a pistol stock. Really you don't like the mossberg 940?

    I would like to see you evaluate the A300 against the Mosberg 569 A1 tactical as I believe they are similar in price.

      I have both (see my channel if you think I’m lying 😅) and the A300 is better in literally every single way, maybe except for the bull barrel on the A1, and the proven durability of the Mossberg over many years of use and data collection

      @@N7mudkip Thanks for getting back to me with the good advice, I do appreciate it. I’m getting older now and my main concern is to have something to protect my wife and me against intruder(s). I can’t imagine anything more devastating the an automatic 12. (Maybe a claymore but that just ain’t practical).

    The 1301 is the better shotgun, but is it 50-60% better? Nope. That’s why the A300 is Beretta’s best selling shotgun.

    Hi sir can you make a comparison between a300 ultima patrol vs 1301 mod 2

  • @paulvaughn9730
    @paulvaughn9730 9 месяцев назад

    The bottom line is its a bad design the barrel should have a welded extended tube holder not a plastic one that slides around on your barrel and wears a hole in it and that goes for the 940 also I have both of those guns and that plastic holder is junk
