I've had several unpleasant experiences giving money and food to homeless people.
1.I was on a drive thru and while order through the mic, a homeless guy suddenly approached my car and asked for money, i gave him some coins and he glared at me then shouted "only this?!".
2. I just got out from 711, walking to my car, a then a homeless lady tapped me on my back, she asked for money, i gave her some change. Then she ran inside 711 to buy cigarettes.
3. During college, walking to my university, i saw this homeless man at the side walk, i gave my kfc chicken sandwich (which suppose to be my lunch) to him, he refused it and asked for money instead.
4. A homeless street kid approached me and begged for money, i really felt pity for him so i gave half of my lunch money to him, he smiled and ran off waving the bills i gave him, then joined his friends and they gambled at the sidewalk..with my lunch money. 😭😭

Exactly, that's the problem. People don't pay enough attention to homeless people. Those people didn't even try to help! Even if it wasn't their loved ones, it doesn't hurt to give them a dollar or two. Two dollars can usually buy you a cheeseburger and a drink at where I live.

When you live in a city like prtland oregon where people who claim to be homeless are not, or you are followed and badgered by them constantly, that is why they get ignored. As a society we have done away with mental instutions and allowed the behavior for far too long.

To not be judged by society for 1 GODDAMM MINUTE
This goes to show how most people look at homeless but don’t really SEE them. Remember most of us are only a paycheck away from the streets. If you see a homeless person, even if it’s just one; buy them a travel toothbrush and toothpaste, SOCKS, rain gear, chewable vitamins, granola bars and things that don’t squash. On exceptionally cold nights, buy just one person a hostel bed for the night for £15 or so. It means the whole entire world. Sit down with them, to their level, on the street, ask them about their lives, what’s the main thing keeping them on the streets. If you have no money to spare, TALK, about them, about their lives, their family. Homeless people are the MOST overlooked people in society but most often with the biggest hearts and the saddest stories. Talk talk talk, you might just save their life.

They did that to themselves.
Jahaira Zavala PREACH SISTER
I can't believe that the lady in red was sad that a family member was on the streets instead of the fact that she didn't notice the homeless person sitting there 😲🤦 *tragic.*
You don't have to give money, just your time,a few kind words..a hug..
I think why everyone was walking on the same street was because they all needed to get to the “interview”
Um yea
No because the African American woman was walking the other way
Isn't it odd that everone is passing through the same street
I'd assume they were told to park in a certain parking lot and walk in for the interview
bren dea yes..
bren dea that’s what I thought as well
I know personally that when I give a gift,it's a gift!! I can't judge what they do with it.
It's still kind of sad that even though they didn't recognize them, they just walked by without even offering to help, or even just looking them in the eye and smiling. It's painful to see when things like that happen.
