It’s no secret Chrysler had the mini van market sewed up. They sold something like 6 out of every 10 units.

As a car guy, I always needed one practical car. Owning mini vans like some Chevy Astro, Plymouth Voyager, Chevy Lumina APV, Dodge Caravan and now a Grand Caravan. Nothing is more practical than a Mini Van! And if space is luxurious, then these kind a cars are on top! Forget SUV's when it comes to max room. But, of course people prefer a hip SUV over an not cool at all mini van! LOVE PEOPLE. LOL!

All of them were good I think the Mopar Vans were the best. And they're the only ones I still see riding around my city occasionally.

I see the occasional caravan and odyssey, there's maybe one quest around. Minivans have lost their popularity around here, by a large margin.
The modern sienna is a nice ride, despite my distaste for vans.

@@cavalierliberty6838 I have a 2005 Grand Caravan. 223k on the odometer. All the power features still work (doors and such). Original drivetrain with the 3.8. Shifts smooth and no ticks from the engine. There's another one on my street and a 3rd I see at Walmart sometimes. lolol I had that mopar rust but got mine fixed. I drive it 70 miles a day. It's ugly but functional haha.

Traded a mint 2005 4.0 mustang for a 2016 grand caravan with 283hp, it's a far better driver, more comfortable seats, wider, faster, way better stereo system, 15 speakers, dual ac, larger brakes, larger wider tires, better lights, more sound insulated, better interior materials, way more engine power and on and on. The mustang was better in one parameter, and one only; Looks. Everything else is far better on the van.

I see no difference. People say the minivan is to family like or soccer mom, but you use SUVs for a family car, so what the difference they are both used for the same thing the minivan would be more practical but the world are followers as long as there are still sedan coupe minivan sport wagon lovers out there we need to not fold like everyone else has. I don't think riding around in something that looks like a truck is attractive pick ups too.

I always found it odd that Nissan had the Axxess and Stanza Wagon with sliding doors on both sides in the 80s but then didn't include that idea right away with the Quest. Like that was a huge missed opportunity because everyone loved it when the Chrysler vans added them.

Can you actually call the first generation Honda Odyssey a minivan? It doesn't have sliding doors which seems to be a requirement for minivans. That's makes for a good debate.

These marked the era of hideous minivans that look like rollie pollies with the bumper falling off and always coated in 2 inches of dust. We should start a GoFundMe for any person that's still unfortunately driving a 1996- 2005 minivan. I pray you get the chance to be blessed with at least a PT cruiser
