Thanks for the support, you are awesome! Want more!? I talk about the last Saints Row game here: ruclips.net/video/3gKNTcWsOC8/видео.htmlsi=h84oq01ZHFTlcEaQ
I assume you mean the original MGS? Its a classic! So many great franchises materialized at that time, or really grew into what they are today! MGS, Final Fantasy, Crash, Spyro, Tekken, etc…! Are you planning to play the MGS3 Remaster?
infinitely complex game that is just like a paper that keeps on folding itself again and again, adding more and more every time just decided to replay the whole thing again two days ago, this video pops up in my recs, great vid
There really has been nothing like MGSV. The closest thing is the new Ghost Recon games, which are great, but MGSV still has superior combat, controls, stealth mechanics, with more cohesive game design, and a more intriguing story. When one mans vision is prioritized over the uninformed trends observed by marketers, true art is created.
MGSV is fantastic! I recommend going back to some of the others via the Master Collection, starting with Playstation 1. The controls will be a bit clunky, but play them chronologically for the story!
Here before this video blows up! In all seriousness, great video on one of my favourite games ever! You have good stealth in games like TLOU2 with its great AI, or the satisfying movement like in Helldivers 2 but MGSV is truly the full package, no modern game has come close to checking all the boxes this game does, and does them so well! It’s a shame the amazing AI on metal gear only shines after tons of hours put into it, where it truly evolves to counter each player’s actions
Here before this comment blows up! Thank you - these comments are what motivates me to keep doing these, when juggling a baby and a relationship and a fulltime job and… Sitting at night in a bedroom with those two sleeping behind me editing, this thing is work - SO THANK YOU ♥️ I agree fully! I am probably gonna test Metal Gear Survive for the first time ever soon, just to see if there is SOMETHING there. I assume you are excited abput the MGS3 Remake?
To any old MGS fan, MGSV is a real deal phantom pain. It's an unfinished, empty husk of a POTENTIALLY great game. As it stands now, it's nothing but trash that will sour the entire history of the Metal Gear saga. It also plays like a generic open-world action game of the 2010s, like Ubishit to be honest. The few good aspects it possesses are typical Kojima shenanigans + things it copied straight from the Peace Walker, the superior "MGS5" game that should've been the finale.
Disagree- the story is incomplete, but for me, the gameplay carries the game. You may call it trash, and that is your opinion, but you are in a large minority. Appreciate the comment though - always healthy with other perspectives!
Love RDR2, but some of the design choices are clunky. I get its very deliberate, put having to hold a button down to pick items in a menu, is a big no no for me. But that is a pet peeve, RDR2 IS a Modern Classic - gonna have to cover it at some point
Some might say you were DESTINED to like and subscribe 😉 For realsies though - the point of the “Modern Classics” videos are to get people back into great games, while we wait for 90% of new games to be patches and go on sale 😂✌🏻
Nothing major, but in the intro you used the NES version of Metal Gear when the original is the MSX2 version. Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake are the canon ones and the NES versions Metal Gear (NES) and Snakes Revenge are the non canon ones.
Hey - thanks for the feedback, super appreciate it! And thank you for delivering it in such a kind manner, the internet can be quite toxic with these things. Can’t really redo the video at this point, but will keep your comment here. Have a great day! 🙌🏻
Hey Clakster - hope you are well! Honestly, the gameplay still holds up in 2024. Bonus points for starting out with MGS Ground Zeroes, also a FANTASTIC little appetizer!
@@CliffhangerDK 💯 actually next up for me is peace walker and portable ops I heard they're underrated. I also never played mgs4. The others are all my favorite games ever. MgsV is top 3
@Shokisan1 Hang on a bit - Konami confirmed we will have a Master Collection Vol 2! MGS4 will for sure be there, the rest are a bit in the air - but I personally think they would have to add Peacewalker as well!
My man! Gonna have to disagree - The original 2 MGS games from the Nintendo as well as Metal Gear Acid, those I would put below this one. As a story, this is the worst of the modern ones, but only looking at gameplay, this would be my number 1 pick. Which would you say is best then?
Didn’t play it that much - far as I understand, the mechanics in MGS V are directly the same, but more modernized and of course fleshed out, as Peacewalker was limited by hardware??
Thanks for the support, you are awesome!

Not talking about Phantom pain obviously. that came out in 2015 ha
Well aware, just kidding bro! 😉

I came back for the video and STILL had stuff to do - next goal is re-unlocking Quiet!

Reminds me to go back to Ghost Recon Breakpoint…
Not great at release, but they fixed it, and its fantastic!
MgsV was one of the first games I played that wasn't a nintendo title and nothing since then has captured me the same way.

Amazing game there is no cúrrent or past video game that makes controlling the character feel so fluid. I put this game and RDR 2 as top of all time.

Still holds up nearly 10 years later!
It does - had a ton of fun filming this one!
I just started playing again a couple days ago so its hilarious you made this

Started playing again after not doing so on primary release. Still fun and innovative all these years l8r. Only sad MGO is capoot on pc now :c
Didn’t even think to test MGO after all these years!
Not what I am here for though, so no big deal for me - but a shame nevertheless

@sSora_4 gotcha, guess I should go back snd give it a go again then!
