  • In paragraph 145 of St. Faustina's diary, the scant tells us that in order to repel the attacks of the devil we should do the following:
1 Find a priest we can trust and feel comfortable with and go to confession regularly and follow the words of the priest in the confessional.
    2. When you are at peace, pray deeply for the battle that is to come.
    3. Examine and ponder everything deeply. and never count on yourself but pray and take the advice of "other warriors" who are experienced and wise"
"When the soul acts in this way, it nearly always wins."
Who are these "other warriors"? Well, the saints and holy women and men of God! So read the lives and writings of the saints. Try to practice and imitate what they have done.
Dear God, help me to take the example of holy women and men who have come before me so as to strengthen myself for the battles that are to come. Amen

ST. TERESA OF AVILA: “God protect me from gloomy saints! I am more afraid of those who are terrified of the devil than I am of the devil himself!
From somber devotions and sour-faced saints, good Lord, deliver us!”

I love that quote! If we know and love Christ, we have a lot to be thankful for and much to be happy about. However, I guess we all "feel down" once in a while, even the saints! Thanks for the positive message. God bless you!

Yes, trust in His Divine Mercy, God is always there waiting for you to turn to Him. Go to church and ask for His mercy. Meditate on His mercy. He wants to give you His mercy and He will, if you are sincere. God bless you!
