My love will give you the strength and courage you need... #stfaustina #divinmercy #courage

In 229, Jesus assures St. Faustina that His love will provide for her. Today, we should all meditate on the wondrous mercy of God. Do I really believe that the love of God will give me strength and courage? Dear God, help me in my unbelief!

In paragraph 228, St. Faustina is preparing herself for the day of her vows. :et her prayer be our prayer: "With the trust and simplicity of a small child, I give myself to you today, O Lord Jesus, my Master. I leave you complete freedom in directing my soul. Guide me along the paths You wish. I won't question them. I will follow You trustingly. Your merciful Heart can do all things! Amen.

I was born a Roman Catholic and I love being in the Catholic Church. It is very deep and wide. It is the spiritual home of St. John Paul II, St. Pio, St. Francis, St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Thomas More, Mother Theresa of Calcutta, Theresa of Liseaux and Theresa of Avila, Maximillian Kolbe, Fr. Kapaun, and countless martyrs and holy men and women whose names could fill books and that is good company. It is not a perfect Church but it does trace its' roots back to Peter, the first Pope. It is definitely the most diverse Church in the world. Cardinal Sarah and Cardinal Zen are just two of the bright contemporary lights in the Catholic Church and they are from Africa and Asia respectively. Then there are men like Archbishop Gudziak, an American and a truly holy man of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is truly catholic, truly universal. No, I am grateful to the Catholic Church and I could never walk away from my spiritual family. You aren't very convincing when your invitation begins with accusations and insults on the Catholic Church. Instead of insulting each other and trying to win arguments we should be praying for each other. I am very happy where I am. I am at home in Roman Catholicism. If you are at home in the Orthodox Church then be a good Orthodox and let me be a good Catholic.Go feed the poor, visit the sick, , comfort the suffering, but please don't begin by telling me that my spiritual family is not good enough. If you are Russian Orthodox, I find the tone, words and lifestyle of Patriarch Kirill to be anything but the fullness of truth. God bless you! God loves you.

Pope Francis is the most "rigid," to use his siilly word, pope in history with his rigid hatred of Catholic doctrine, his denial of immutable truth, and his belief that God is subordinate to His creation as Francis portays him as in the process of learning how to be a good God from HIs own creation. @@thecatholicCatholic thank you Father. But shouldn't Catholic doctrine always be clearly expressed?; i.e. "Let your yes be yes and your no be no". If the documents of Vatican II were not riddled with ambiguity, there would be no need for "interpretation". Further, I have read that it was the stated purpose of the authors to purposefully insert ambiguous phrases into the documents knowing later how those phrases would be interpreted. This has been referred to as "weaponized ambiguity". To me the whole undertaking smacks of modernism, as described in "Pascendi Dominici Gregis".

    • @thecatholicCatholic

When I posted the Sheen video, I honestly thought Bishop Sheen said, "Pope Francis". That was my initial thought when I first listened to the video. I like Mr. Buckley and I enjoy reading Sheen, so I wanted to see this interview. Once I thought I heard "Pope Francis", I encouraged a few others to listen to it. My brother thought it was dubbed. It is not. My sister in law heard Pope Francis probably because I suggested it. My wife also heard Pope Francis, again, it was probably the power of suggestion. My bother asked me why Buckley didn't pick up on it and I didn't pay enough attention to that. I dismissed him by saying that Buckley missed it. I consider Sheen, although a flawed individual like the rest of us, capable of having mystical experiences. I have read many of Sheen's books. His autobiography TREASURES IN CLAY is, for me a great read. Anyway, I thought Sheen had a mystical experience and was given a gift to see into the future and he had anticipated Pope Francis and let it slip during the interview. I do believe that individuals such as Padre Pio and St. Faustina have been given the ability to glimpse the future. I thought perhaps Sheen had been given this gift but he never shared it with someone. There are people in this world who experience God in supernatural ways and nobody ever knows it. Like the frugal person who dies and leaves millions to some charity, not all spiritual people reveal their encounters with god. They live lives of silent mysticism. Anyway it was an honest mistake. I left for Ireland at the end of June to volunteer at a Catholic camp in Ireland called Camp Veritas. Then I took the family to Knock, we hiked along St. Declan's Way and up into Donegal. We got back last Friday and only now am I looking at all of this. I am now convinced that Bishop Sheen does say "for offenses" and NOT "Pope Francis" I made an honest mistake and glad you pointed it out to me. I feel no shame in this because I know the reality of the situation. I never meant to mislead anyone. My intent was not to get clicks. I was hoping for a discussion about Sheen. The primary purpose of The catholic Catholic RUclips station is to make people who may not know the message of Divine Mercy aware of it. t is interesting to see that a few of you are very quick to judge this as click bait or as fake. This is a symptom of our contemporary society. Please don't let society make you cynical.Cynical people refuse to see that others are sincere and sometimes make mistakes. Cynical people are quick to think that everyone else is trying to game the system or do things for personal gain only. Cynical people can lose faith in others because they think that every kind act is done for personal gain. Cynical people think that any mistake is an illusion purposefully put forth to acquire some sort of gain. I believe that the devil encourages cynicism. We must be careful. I gave you my explanation of the way this happened. Whatever you may think, know that God loves you. In the course of all the comments Pope Francis also came up. It was not my intention to have a conversation about the merits of Pope Francis or Vatican II. Some of you may know that Padre Pio was unjustly criticized by someone in the Vatican and this resulted in many years when Padre Pio could not hear confession or say public Mass. Eventually In 1933, Pope Pius XI ordered a reversal of the ban on Pio's public celebration of Mass, arguing, "I have not been badly disposed toward Padre Pio, but I have been badly informed." In 1934, the friar was again allowed to hear confessions. (Wikipedia) Throughout all of this time and until his death in the late sixties, Padre Pio would never say a bad word about the Pope or the Church he loved. Instead of publicly bashing Pope Francis we should perhaps pray for him and our Church. There are many things in our Church that I am not happy about or I am disappointed about but my public mocking and arguing will change nothing. Change lies in prayer. I love the Catholic Church and prayer, is a good way to love others. Please let us not bash the Holy Father on this RUclips station. There are other places for that. Instead let us continue to pray for Pope Francis and our church. Another thread in the conversation was about the Orthodox Church. Our Orthodox brothers and sisters are brothers and sisters in Christ. Trying to win an argument about churches and who is right and who is wrong I think misses the point. We should unite in prayer and service to Jesus Christ. The world needs Christ and instead of arguing with each other, we should spend our talents, energies and time, doing good for others and praying for others. Let' agree to pray for each other. The answer is to love one another. Love the person in front of you. Love the person you are communicating with. Even in the midst of mistakes, God works. He can be found everywhere.

So, without further adieu: (#1) WHY would a person who has their own RUclips channel, ( and obviously has the potential to reach thousands, even millions of people,) choose to name their site: "The catholic Catholic," with which 'real' Catholic readers would probably assume has good, "legit" Catholic content, WHY would they CLICKBAIT us, and (#2) HOW could 'real' Catholics continue to keep their subscriptions once they've watched some of "The catholic Catholic's" videos and REALIZED that the titles are CLICKBAIT?? I simply cannot believe this site has 587 ignorant subscribers. In this video, Venerable Fulton Sheen NEVER says the words "Pope Francis." So, here's a question for YOU, "catholic Catholic." I am now convinced that Bishop Sheen does say "for offenses" and NOT "Pope Francis" I made an honest mistake and glad you pointed it out to me.

And when you sweep aside the false narratives in the media even the, "catholic media" about what Pope Francis says that's exactly what he has been doing but every statement & publication is distorted and the corrections & complaints from the Vatican are ignored . It's difficult to find criticism from within the Church itself that isn't against a phony version from the media or indeed generated by schismatic - "more Catholic than the magisterium , the Pope and Christ's promises of the guidance through them"- groups and individuals whose egos grant themselves primacy.

Interesting that in 1970, Bishop Sheen was talking about a Church that in its newfound patience and kindness, excommunicates fewer people. Meanwhile today's Church is anything but patient and kind, having robbed us of our inheritance, now excommunicating its best priests and most faithful traditional Catholics.

You can be primarily concerned with understanding emotions or understanding the truth. Emotions are supposed to yield to truth not truth to emotions, otherwise we become God and madness ensues. When the church primarily attempted to be "understanding" of worldly emotions it ceased to be primarily understanding of truth or those who were wanting to do so, which is to say God, who is the truth.
