Hey everyone!
I’m Carolyn from tranquil mentor! Today we are going to be making a gingerbread house out of two Dollar tree Doll houses! A subscriber suggested this, and we thought we would give it a go and show you how we did it! Some of our inspiration is from DIY Karem’s Christmas Village video on RUclips. We love the way she designed her Dollar Tree Christmas Village!

Spackle might be an easier choice next time instead of pushing clay through an icing tip. Lots of people use spackle for fake food icing!

Hi Luv, New Subbie🤗Last year I created a haunted house candle holder out of these houses.This year I’ve purchased 4 houses to make the 2 story gingerbread houses with my daughter around Christmas when she’s in town. I love your idea with the straws and ribbon. I think I’m going to scrap lift your idea.😍 I’ve also made faux icecream and cocoa mugs so I plan on using spackling for my snowy roof. Thanks so much for subscribing to our channel and welcome!! I used a combination of craft closet "Brown" acrylic paint from Dollar General and Waverly Chalk paint "white" from Michaels and blended them together until I got a light-ish brown! Thanks for watching!😀

I was going to make gingerbread houses with these this year, but gave up because i didnt prime them first. 😢😂
That has happened to me before too. Priming is just that extra step and extra drying time and sometimes I just don't like to wait for paint to dry... LOL Thanks so much for watching!😀

SERIOUSLY?! Where ARE these Dollar Trees? I have shopped in quite a few in many states on the east coast and I have never found 1/10 of the items that people show in their videos. And I never came across one that was clean and organized either.
I'm currently spending the holidays in western NY. Can anyone suggest one that has all the items? Tia.

I have heard a lot of people that have messy disorganized dollar trees. I live in Florida and sometimes it takes longer for my stores to get items in. I have three of them near me and I go back and forth to each of them to find the items. But my stores can be messy and stock is not always the same as I see in other crafters Dollar Trees.
