you'd be amazed to see a guitar playthrough of some songs from their Labyrinth album...most songs on there have mindblowingly virtuosic guitar writing/playing (Pathfinder, Minotaur, Elegy, Kingborn, The Fall Of Asterion, Epilogue) like they take the role of 1st and 2nd -violin- guitar (instead of lead- and rhythm guitar) in a 250bpm+ tempo, heavily distorted classical piece. But sadly the Labyrinth album, while having easily their most insane guitar material, also has the most chaotic mixing where the epic choirs, orchestrals and vocals drown out the guitars and make them more or less impossible to hear. I would honestly give a kidney for the Labyrinth songbook (or rather "The Score")...been trying to transcribe just the first three of the songs I listed above for years now and it's a nightmare...it feels like I'm trying to boil the ocean (also proven by the fact that there are literally no correct tabs on the internet...and the few attempts that exist are embarrassingly far from accurate) If you're interested, check out some of the live performances with a fixed camera just to get a bad glimpse of what the guitarists are doing. But if you do then make sure it's from when Tommaso Riccardi and Cristiano Trionfera were still in the lineup...the most difficult songs like Pathfinder, Kingborn and Elegy they just never played since, and for most other songs Francesco plays simplified parts. Tommaso was a freakin beast for being able to do the vocals and never missing a beat with these super complex guitar parts which more often than not aren't any less difficult to play than the lead parts...and the songs are in no way written to accommodate for a frontman that plays guitar and does vocals. The guitar difficulty isn't toned down at all for parts where there are also vocals.
@@emilandersen8628 same...the album became like an obsession to me but except for epilogue I can't figure out any whole song. There are fan made tabs for Elegy, Minotaur and Pathfinder on Ultimate-Guitar made by the same guy (the TAB versions, not guitar pro ones) which aren't nearly 100% accurate but helped me as a foundation to figure out Elegy pretty much completely, Minotaur up to before the ancient greek part and Pathfinder both has the most inaccurate tabs (I think) but more so is currently to difficult for me to play. The verses are easy to figure out, but every other part of that song is just mindblowing to me...the chorus sounds so much simpler than it actually is and the rythm guitar part that plays underneath the solo after the last chorus is probably the most epic "rythm" part I've heard and way more complex than melody/solo that's playing on top of it. But as for other songs on the album: Kingborn, there's one guitar cover video on yt of someone who figured out the rythm guitar pretty well and that's it. Another song of high interest for me is Fall of Asterion but that song doesn't even have potato-cam videos of live performances. Live performances are the best way to get a part right when you find a video with a good angle, Pathfinder has a few videos where you have good view on both guitars but it's extremely tedious because it's so wild. For Elegy it helped me figure out most of the wildest parts and the only part I haven't figured out yet is the pre-chorus. Minotaur's verses are pretty accurate in the tabs and with live footage I could figure out pre-chorus and chorus but the greek part is completely wrong in the tabs...it's probably not that hard to figure out from live footage but I haven't come around to it yet. The parts I do know how to play are so much fun and (at first) challenging that I don't get bored, and ever since a few months ago some great samarita has completely tabbed Sugar from the official guitar playthrough I'm also still very occupied by that. I even asked the band for more Labyrinth tabs at a youtube Q&A, and both Francescos said they'll soon drop more tabs...but they *DIDN'T*
This song is sheer genius, the chord progressions and the sonic flavor and emotion it conveys and that last lead part, almost sounds hopeful like there was a lesson that was learned. I dunno.
I saw these guys live in Sydney last November in 2019 and They were spectacular. The played this 3 songs in and the whole audience was chanting " PUSH PUSH PUSH PUSH" It was a truly GLORIOUS experience and I hope the come again.
I loved Cristiano's solos on King and was worried when I learned that he left FA. Fabio is the perfect replacement and I enjoy his solos on Veleno just as much! \m/
my favorite fleshgod songs are Elegy, Minotaur and Pathfinder and the solos of these songs are relatively easy parts to play compared to the rest...they are literally breathers between some of the sickest and most complex non-solo stuff I've ever encountered. I don't even want to call most of them "riffs" because they rather feel like they were written as the 1st violin, but distorted and at ~250bpm. My favorite guitar material of the last decade by a long shot and it's so frustrating that especially Labyrinth has no tabs online except Epilogue and they're a huge bitch to transcribe because there's so much else going on

I mean that 6 string is tuned in B standard which is a 7 string tuning. So the only difference between that guitar and a 7 string is the lack of the high E.
I have the same opinion on their mixing. The guitars and bass are ALWAYS buried in the mix and way too hard to hear. Mafia EP is the last album of theirs I really was into. Least on the first two albums you could still hear the guitar and bass somewhat. Mafia is a non stop punch in the face!
@@Jeffmetal42 probably because Mafia has a different concept compared to the other albums. CSIS: True. It's quite remarkable!
Yup all of them are like among the top in the world
It's a band of virtuosos, no matter who plays, they are all amazing.
EVERY ALBUM THAT IS PRODUCED NEEDS TO HAVE AN INSTRUMENTAL VERSION!

Same! I was like wtf!
Same. Was great!
Yup! Its in these kind of playthoughs that you can hear what you normally cant in massive mixes that bands like fleshgod have

Me yes :D
That last solo is so simple but so tasteful as well. Top notch stuff.
Super sick riffs!!!!
yes push🤟✊
If Fleshgod made a Tab Book for Veleno and or King I would buy both of them for way too much money
Add Labyrinth to that...imo that album has the most complex songwriting, especially for the guitar parts
@@AgeofJP i would literally pay 1000 dollars for a labyrinth tab book

Love that guitar! The violin f hole is a really classy look
Rufini makes some amazing guitars!
specifically it is just an F-Hole look
F-Hole doesnt belong to only violins
Favourite band ever, please come to Montreal with the string Quartet on your return tour!!! Much love!
I can play like that if i had 4 arms and practiced for 30 years np😁
You can play like that with two arms and maybe less than a year of practice. I believe in you!
You could learn this in a day, maybe less.
Argh this is so much more involved than I realized - amazing!
Mesmerizing!

Rad as hell. Awesome axe design!
My favorite song of 2019. Chills every time
I love that even though Fabio can play all kinds of crazy stuff, the solos were both appropriate for the song and not just showy wank fests.
Agreed. Its refreshing when a solo is made for the song, fits, and isn't really over the top.

That guitar has a really flat fretboard radius! Like 16 inch. I bet dude shreds like hell on a classical guitar as well.......cool video!
You sure it’s not simply a compound radius like a Jackson?

Fun fact, if you play this at 0.75 speed, it becomes a regular thrash song.
What tuning is this in please?
