The level will depend on how big the tumbler is, how tall your rotary attachment is, etc. When you have your software do the autofocus, it should let you know if.where you have it is too low. So, you want it low enough that it fits under the laser head, but not so low that the laser cannot reach it effectively.
Hello Marylin, If I used the xTool riser base under the P2 to gain more room under it and situate the RA2 rotary tool inside the riser base, could I securely mount a 8" diameter wood bowl sideways (with the jaws grabbing a 2.5" wide tenon on the bowl bottom)? I'm a wood worker and make bowls on my wood lathe from different pieces of wood. I want use the P2 to engrave a 1" wide band around the entire outside wall of a wood bowl with different patterns within the banding. The RA2 metal base would be reversed in the opposite direction and raised up at least 2-3 inches on a wood block to give extra clearance for the wide 8" bowl diameter inside the riser base. The elevated RA2 base would be bolted down to a larger moveable plywood base to prevent it from tipping over while holding the wood bowl in its chuck jaws. Would the Creative Space program settings on the P2 allow for a 8" wide bowl to be engraved sideways like this? One more question... Can two riser bases be stacked together to create even more room under the P2 for this of an engraving operation? Thank you.
By far the best tumbler tutorial I've seen thus far!
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it.
Awesome explanation of how to operate this machine. I love it.
Thank you Unbiased!!!
Thank you for another great video Marilyn! I am going to try with the painters tape, I had an issue with the alignment yesterday. I hope this helps.
You're welcome! I hope it works out for you.
I love the purple cup. 💜💜💜
I knew you would, despite the powercat head on it:)
Great job Marilyn!
Tracey
Thank you, Tracey!
How long did the Purple tumbler take to engrave.
I don’t remember but it should have been around 12 - 15 minutes in the P2.
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you very much!
Hi, Marilyn,
I hope you’re having a wonderful day.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you, Donna! I hope you are too.
Hey, try Dawn Power scrub and a stiff toothbrush to clean.
Thank you, I will! I appreciate the suggestion.
Not a Wildcats fan but that is fantastic nonetheless! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much!
I see how u centered the start of the engraving using the green line how do u center a design using the d1 pro 20w
Unfortunately, I do not have the D1. Sorry I can't help.
Good video thanks looks good ❤
Thank you, Jessie!
Thanks for sharing! What was the total time of engraving?
It was somewhere around 13 minutes. I will pay attention and show it on the tutorial next time I make one.
You said for your tumbler you put the crumb tray on level 1. How did you determine that?
The level will depend on how big the tumbler is, how tall your rotary attachment is, etc. When you have your software do the autofocus, it should let you know if.where you have it is too low. So, you want it low enough that it fits under the laser head, but not so low that the laser cannot reach it effectively.

I'm sorry but your question is above my ability level and I don't want to just say what I think. I am really sorry I can't help you.
Does the Barkeepers Friend not scratch the powder coating?
No it doesn’t. I have used it for years on my stainless sink. But you could try awesome spray as an alternative.
Nice design
