The image is overexposed, you need to set the exposere to - 0.3 or -0.5, everyone on youtube said the same thing that the pocket 3 overexpose a little.
Nice video. It has been suggested a -.03 to -.07 ev can help with blown out highlights. Some of your outdoor footage looks like it might benefit from trying that.
The highlights look blown out to me. Have you tried the new Insta360 Ace Pro with the Active HDR? It's great in low light also, but is better in handling extreme shadows and bright light during the day.
Thanks for the review! Really good quality. How’s the internal mic on the pocket 3? Trying to decide if I need the wireless mic. Mostly going to use it for family videos and travel videos but won’t be vlogging/talking to the camera that much
If you aren't vlogging much you may not need the wireless mic. The onboard mic is not bad if you are holding the camera and talking. It's better at picking up omnidirectional audio like recording with your phone as opposed to picking out voices and reducing background noise which the wireless mic does better but for general video but again that's mainly for vlogging. I'll have a Utah video coming out very soon which was was mostly filmed on the osmo pocket outdoors in windy and non ideal conditions as well which should provide insight into the wireless mic quality
The Utah video is out! Most of the video audio is recorded with the wireless mic as you'll see it clipped on my jacket. Around nine minutes and fifteen seconds you can hear the audio with just the onboard mic. Hope it helps!
The dance floor shots looked a little soft to me - were they 4k? I know its low light but have seen sharper lowlight than this coming out of the pocket 3 - also did you use low light mode? Also did you have noise removal on?. Otherwise great video though.
The footage was in 4k but the settings weren't optimized as I literally opened it right before the wedding and didn't have time to set it all up so it was mostly on auto and not on low light mode. I do not believe the noise removal was on. So the footage can definitely be better if the settings are optimized!
Really great review. I think it's crazy that the Pocket 3 is even remotely comparable to mirrorless cameras. What a value. I also think it's interesting to hear some ppl complain about the blur in the background. We've been trying to get shallow depth of field from small cameras for years. We have it now and ppl are like "i can't see the background" 😂
Well I have it, and it sucks. It's not remotely as stable as my GoPro. I tried holding it as still as possible just pointing at the wall, and it has mico jitters and never stops swaying back & forth. Extremely disappointed.
Since the footage was filmed in DJI's D-log format making it desaturated, to bring the colors back to normal I used DJI's osmo pocket 3 rec 709 conversion lut which can be obtained on their website.
the blur background when you record yourself make the video useless when you said look at here and the background totally blur out. I don't like camera the blur background. there is no point to go outside and record without see clear of the background.

Yeah good to know, was mostly testing everything on auto to see how it would handle different situations and conditions.
i disagree, its not even close to the a7siii in those shots you compared. the sony looks miles better.

Ive heard good things about the Insta360 Ace Pro, haven't gotten to use it.
Yeah, i've used the P3 at weddings and I totally agree with you. I will always have my P3 for weddings and events from now on.
For real it's a game changer!

Pmi smoke ninja for product showcase?
That's coming soon!
Nice review. Does deserve more likes because it covers everything. 🔥
Thank you! Appreciate it!
apakah osmo 3 pewarnaan kameranya kurang bagus ?
The default color on the osmo pocket 3 is ok, nothing crazy. You could film in a log format and color it after in post.
Dance floor footage is that low light mode or log? 6:32 looks awesome! 6:32
that's in d-log
I have really shaky hands so the stabilization comparison was super helpful. Thanks!

Plan on using it at weddings too as a third wide angle.
