I loved all of his movies!!
thanks Carl remember to share like and subscribe too.
Magnificent.
This is hands down one of my favorite pieces in my movie monster figure collection. I went deluxe with the stand and sailors. The details and plaint application are incredible. I have his eye pointed down to his right looking at the sailor with the spear and his mouth open mid-roar. He is on display on my desk at works and I get compliments on it daily.
Fingers crossed we get a Dragon to go along with him :)
These pieces are gorgeous! I can remember seeing this film for the first time (on TV), when I was 5 years old. It was the first Harryhausen film I had ever seen and it scared the tiny pants off me! I never forgot it! I was scared and amazed by it and I was forever hooked on Harryhausen films and stop motion. Needless to say, 7th Voyage has a special place in my heart.
And thank you for what you, John et al, for what you do with Ray's work. It's all historical and should be preserved at all costs. I've been a fan of Ray's for 57 years, and my feelings about him and his work has never waned with age. You're all very special.
thanks great comment.
Excellent review! The Cyclops is hands down my favourite of the Harryhausen creatures. It's appearance and roar in the opening scene terrified me when I was young. I purchased the Deluxe Version of the Star Ace Cyclops. It's accuracy to the original film is remarkable and the Deluxe Version miniatures of Sinbad and Harufa bring a nice touch. Such a fantastic piece to start my Harryhausen Collection.
Thanks Adam.
Excellent, I loved all these stop-motion animation movies growing up as a kid!!!! I want this in my collection!!! Shared to Facebook and Twitter...
Thanks Mark
The music finally matches the featured figure.
Well done having the figure in the foreground and the movie in the background for comparison.
Thanks. I’m sure Ray would have approved.
Amazing movie and Stop-Motion character, from Harryhausen and Schneer! Thanks! Fantastic intro!
Shout out to Bernard Hermann, for the great music score, too!
Thanks. Great to know the fans still love the movies and the classic scores!
Awwwww... 7th Voyage of Sinbad is amongst my favourites of Ray. Made such an impression on me when i was young. Used to spend hours with Plastercine making its monsters and im still in love with the film to this day. Pure magic. Just wish these amazing figures werent so damned expensive. I doubt i1ll ever be able to find the money to get them. :-(
Yes these are great pieces. The high quality finish and limited edition runs does make them a high end purchase.
The Cyclops is one of my favourite Ray Harryhausen creations and ALL-time favourite Sinbad monster. Along with The 7th Voyage of Sinbad being my favourite Sinbad film.
Loved watching the film on school summer holidays, bank holidays, terrestrial TV and now most recently on the Horror Channel.
These scales models are a childhood's dream come true to have in one's home and pay homage to the great pioneer that is Ray Harryhausen.

Thanks, Mitchell, good to know that Ray's films still have strong support.
I love the Cyclops- one of all time faves!! Thanks for Vid John, love the lead ins and into the unboxing - thanks!!
Cheers Carl
Excellent! Beautifully done!
thanks Frank.
Looks great John! Also I am wowed at those rare behind the scenes stills!
thanks, Angus. It's always good to show rarities when we can.
I have so many Cyclops that have been released over the years and was going to pass on this one. But both the devil and angel on my shoulders advised me to pick this up. It arrived yesterday and it's scary how amazing this looks! Almost feel like this is the definitive Cyclops to own. Just got word the Ymir and Ceratosaurus are sitting at the post office right now... I gotta go
I feel the same. Although you can never have too many Cyclops!
The Cyclops is my favourite Star Ace release to date.
Thanks. Do please subscribe and share.
Excellent, Excellent , Excellent !
The coolness factor of the eye ball moveability is just awesome .
A little extra information I have is ADI ( Amalgamated Dynamics Incorporated) special effects , has in their possession the ( or one of them )stop motion dragon, Taro, that I saw in a exhibit for their 40 years of work.
I agree a great combination
Great video! Love it! I gotta get him!
Thanks Jeffrey.
Harryhausens cyclops reappears in the movie Shazam! Fury of the gods (2023)
A great moment to see even if they are not exactly the same.
Are there any information about how the sound of the Harryhausens creatures was made?
i always liked the sound of the cyclops in Sinbad, anyone know how it was made? and I wonder how the Kraken sound was made too, so cool roaring sound
are there any plans for star ace to do the deluxe dragon to go with this model john and then later the model kit of it to go with the model kit cyclops one too
Yes the Dragon is on the way in deluxe form and hopefully a kit to follow.
@@WalshBros oh john youve made my year thank you and i see theyve now done kali as a kit too, all we need now is the styracosaurus to go with gwangi one
i,ll get my paints sorted out ready for it then ha ha
Where does the different colors come from? I bought a cyclops from Star Ace Toys and it looks exactly the same like in this video, but the color was only orange, no nuances.
Sorry that’s a question for Star Ace
