So Black Myth: Wukong just got a PS5 Pro enhancement update running PSSR 40fps on Quality and Balance mode. In my opinion if devs makes some pro enhancement if it's not 60fps dont bother... this is the game that i cant play like more than 1 hour because it gives me more headache than my wife does. if i play also in performance mode on my 65inch tv it looks like a freaking minecraft game. Im not expecting much from the devs because this game is an indie game but man if they want to enhance for pro and it doesnt meet the 4k 60fps they should not bother ehancing it... but to be honest it looks a lot better but i prefer 4k60fps.
when they launched PS5 Pro they were marketing for 4K60fps so i hope game devs takes note on that one. so if it doesnt meet requirement dont bother enhancing it for pro 40fps boost from 30fps is next to none. i hope the devs can optimise this game to reach that 4k60fps, because it looks visually stunning BUT it just gives you headache if there is a lot of movement esp. with 30fps. you might get a seizure playing this game. this is poorly optimized in console and so as the PS5 Pro.
@@pinoyBrad Brother, your TV might have a function called Clear Motion, Motion Flow or Smooth Motion. Something along those lines. When this feature is turned on, it interpolates frames creating a higher framerate effect, similar to frame generation, which this game uses in its performance mode. Check your TV settings. Turn it on and play on the 30-fps quality mode. The frames per second will be interpolated to reach 120fps and you will still have the 4K resolution. If you are not familiar with this, research and you will enjoy your games more.
@@ChayaneRuizTorres my tv wont reach 120fps and it doesnt have VRR. but to be honest this game is poorly optimized for PRO second to Star Wars Outlaws. maybe this looks real good on PC but in console playing in a big screen no. it looks like your playing a ps3 game on performance mode. it looks good in quality mode but i dont like playing in 30fps esp. when recording videos. im considering buying a gaming monitor for my PC so maybe i could try that any brand you can suggest?
i havent finished the game in the base because it gives me headache but damn this update looks fine. and i tried playing it again on balance mode and im not getting any headaches at all weird.
This game used to give me headaches with all the ghosting, sharpening, bad upscale, and 45fps on balanced with no 120hz mode. Came back to it with a ps5 pro and it’s a night and day difference. Game looks amazing
yep i thought im the only one getting headaches. 🤣 unfortunately i cant run 120hz mode. how do you enable it? automatic if tv has 120hz? because im planning to buy a gaming monitor. i played it on balance mode and it looks good. not getting a smooth 60fps but it certainy looks better compared to the base ps5. this game is too demanding
@ if the monitor is compatible, there will be an available option in the “screen and video” settings of the PS5. Trust me, 40fps on a 120hz monitor feels pretty close to 60fps. There’s no way to explain it without you seeing it for yourself. You’ll like it 👍
Well if i press the settings on my lg it displays 60fps i dont know if thats accurate because i can see the difference between 60fps and below 60fps… if i switch to performance mode on the other hand i can clearly see its obviously 60fps but not on balance mode.
@@pinoyBrad Your TV is outputting 60hz not fps. Your TV will always output a static refresh rate. In your case 60hz. That doesn’t mean the game is outputting 60fps, it just means that your tv supports up to 60fps. 40fps is NOT compatible with 60hz so it will look choppy. 40fps IS compatible with 120hz so it will look smooth. That’s why you can’t tell the difference on your LG
@@Alex-The-throat-goat oh i see. im not a tech guy so i dont know any of this things but im glad to have conversation like this so people like myself will know how these toys work. thank you sir! 🙂
yep balance mode can go 120fps… unfortunately my tv sucks and its only 60hz with no VRR. =) it does look good if i compare it to the base ps5 though. and not many people have tv with vrr... i mean i bought my tv on sale without the gaming in mind.
I hear you 💯 however. Honestly if you want to get the absolute best out of your ps5 pro. You really need to upgrade your tv. 120hz, vrr, lfc etc.. Not just for this game. But in general a lot of games these days utilise these features. For extremely improved gameplay and graphics look better too. On a newer display @@pinoyBrad
oh i played the game again in balance mode i couldnt find the smooth motion in tv settings but i found clarity super resolution instead. played the game and man it looks way better compared to playing the base ps5. way much better and the image quality is good. i might give this game another go and finally finish the game this time.
bruh i thought its just me… when you run and move the camera around too fast thats where it hurts my eyes and gives me the headache. thats why i wont last 3hrs playing this game. i’d stop even 1hr just to give my eyes a rest.
totally garbage on the ps5 bro. i played this in performance mode on the ps5 it looks garbage same as ff7 rebirth, star wars outlaws. but when ff7 rebirth got enhanced for pro it looks goood in versatility and looks almost similar to fidelity mode on base ps5. action games like this it should be illegal to have 30fps even 40fps. the devs are like probably prioritizing image quality over performace but yeah games like this or action action games it should be illegal to have 30fps. has to be 60fps minimum.
I'm not the only one tho, two things I just hate in this game: the unresponsive camera and the input lag, sometimes the game doesn't work right especially in combat for example when I wanna use my gourd it takes a couple seconds to respond I don't know why This game is made for PC ngl
@@mohayas2103 yep, it makes you dumb because you have to adjust to the input lag. and also it doesnt cancel your attack or there is no cancel animation which is freakin insane which makes fighting boss even harder unlike stellar blade that game is good, it has cancel animation, good parry and has a lot of combos too. If this game have cancel animation and battle system similar to stellar blade this game could be my GOTY
