You really need to research Superman. He actually can phase. Intangiblity comes with phasing. And invisibility comes with speed or light manipulation or even phasing depending upon how it's done. Superman is a literal super man.

To make this a more meaningful comparison you need to choose a specific iteration of superman, not just anything any superman has ever done. I would personally pick superman from the DCAU to compare to Omni-Man, that would be a much more interesting match up as his feats aren't nearly as incredible for the runtime of those shows.
How about DCEU superman? He's not quite as battle hardened and has little to none of the feats that his other iterations have. It could be a slug fest of raw power.

Superman constantly feels like he’s living in a world made of cardboard, and so he has to take extra care to not break or destroy anything. Meaning that he’s constantly holding back ALL the time.
Just to add to how durable Superman is, although this is taken from Precrisis version: The time he endured the explosion of a Supernova and was only stunned for some seconds. (Probably the validity of this feat no longer applies and belongs to a past time in Superman comics).

Superman is just better here in every way. Omni-man isn't even the more powerful vultrimite out there and yeah you can say the same thing about superman that he's not the most powerful kyptonian. That'd probably be superboy prime. Superman still even taking the into consideration still has far more impressive showings against guys like doomsday and Darkseid. That's kinda what happens though when your in a bigger universe and have just been around longer and is considered to be one of the biggest fish in an ocean whereas Omni-man is more like a big fish in a small pond

He asks the question: "what does it really mean to be human?". He violates the premise of absolute power corrupting absolutely, and he doesn't fight people, but fights to save people from themselves. This makes him a great aspirational figure. The movies don't do him justice. He tells batman off regularly and is no pushover. He just doesn't do "dark".

Omni-man is not retconned with really stupid powers over and over, his growth was shown in the comics properly. He shows realistic growth according to the world built in the comics.
Superman just gets whatever power he needs from the writer to try and make it interesting. Marvel does some stupid stuff scaling, but DC is on a whole nother level of stupid (electric superman, I remember the backlash).

None of the live action versions actually scale to his comic powers and are technically from separate continuities and so do not have the broken abilities of comic supes. If it's comic supes or animated supes, though......Yeah Omni man would just be a fine red mist evaporating in the center of the sun.

Thats just it though... Omni-man fans expect Omni to face Supes at his damn weakest, so they can claim Nolan is stronger.. lol
Fact is.. even some of the weakest Superman versions out there have feats that make Omni-Man look like shit..
SHAZAM has the power of 6 Gods.. and Supes has regular combat with the guy and has even killed him in specific versions.
