Hi, thx for this video. How do you actually record this? Because every time I play the MicroFreak through MK3, I'm not able to record the sound in any DAW. I can only record the sound only if I play Microfreak directly.
Not sure why you wouldn't be able to record it in a DAW, I guess that would depend on your setup. Recording in Maschine is explained around the 4th minute of the video.
thx a lot for your reply. I actually get to record the MicroFreak midi notes through MK3 in Maschine 2, but the recording messes up the sound of the midi notes, which does not happen when I'm simply playing:) The mystery of Maschine + microfreak:)

Hi need some help, wich cable and how can i connect this combo ? Maschine MK 3 + microfreak + Midi Keyboard . I will Play with the Midi Keyboard the microfreak and record into Maschine ( with the effects) from the Maschine . Please must buy some cables
@@SampleToChop This is explained in the video - MIDI will go through the USB cable. You can use a MIDI cable instead but USB is more convenient as it will also power the Microfreak.
Thanks for the video. About the audio input source 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 it depends also on if you use MK3 as soundinterface or use for instance an external interface, like I do. I bought an expensive cable hooked it up in Maschine. Trying, trying ... NOTHING. No, because I use the RME Fireface UC. Haha. But I like the video a lot, because I keep forgetting all the other steps, because most of the time I work in Ableton.

Can you elaborate? If you set a single mono input as recording source the recording is automatically converted to stereo in the sense that it's played through both the left and right channels.
It doesn’t matter what controler you use, it’s all in the Maschine software. Obvously with the Mikro you won’t be able to set it up from the controller, you will use your mouse and keyboard and set it up from the software interface on your computer.
Hi, can i connect AND setup a midi keyboard + Maschine mk3 + midi sound module WITHOUT using a computer? So it's all standalone. Assuming the answer is, " Yes", does that also work if , say, keyboard was usb midi only? ( Sound module standard DIN midi). Thank you.
Why do you need the Maschine in this setup? There's no way to connect a USB MIDI keyboard directly to Maschine MK3, you have to connect it to a computer. And I'm not sure if the MK3 is going to work at all without a computer, I haven't tried it. Looks like you need a Maschine Plus.
So I recorded a bass line through the MicroFreak and now no matter what I do when I switch the preset it switches the sound I recorded onto Maschine, how do I stop this
That’s how MIDI works, you haven’t recorded the sound, just the MIDI notes. You need to record it as audio, I’ve got a tutorial about this as well. Not sure if it’s linked in the video but you can search for it.
