I installed mine on my own so I had to contact a local CR Laurence dealer (not a warranty repair case) and the replacement bar was $75. The install is gonna be another $100 so I'm grateful for this video.
From the factory (CRL) my 626L window doesn't close fully. Both vents need to crank shut about another inch. Seal is not jammed or bunched up. That was CRL's only idea on the problem. In your experience is there adjustment in the gearbox, etc, where I can sacrifice a bit on the fully open end, to get these vents fully closed? It's already installed and I'd rather not take it out, and return shipping would be $150.
M Shef - did you resolve the issue with your window? We more or less have the same issue. I need it to close tightly but the gear box/crank feels stripped on the close tight side but still opens properly.
I had the same feeling in mine, felt stripped and could be pried open from the outside easily. Turns out it was the bar. Check to make sure the "back torque bar assembly" isn't sheared like mine did. had to order a new part and will attempt to repair with this video as guidance. Good luck!
Thanks for the video! My window crank was over tightened on close and I believe it's stripped because it will not tighten the way it used. I think replacement parts are in order unless I can somehow fix it once it's disassembled.
Where can one find a replacement torque bar or even just the gearbox?
Were you successful in finding the replacement part? Our window doesn't tighten tightly anymore so I believe we need a new part. Thanks in advance!

@@CoreyWarren Were you able to acquire the replacement part direct from CR Lawrence?
Yea i was, it was STUPID expensive ($75 + shipping) and I still need to have it installed... Silly.
Amazing but where's Howard?

This same thing happened to me. Were you able to fix it once disassembled or did you have to order parts?
May not work in my case where the rotator knob isn’t even engaging. But thanks!
