First guitar solo from the late, very great and much missed Mikio Fujioka (RIP). As Herbert Chak said, there is a very emotional tribute version they played after Mikio so tragically died with Takayoshi playing Mikio's guitar (Mikio's wife gave it to him after he died - he still plays it at BABYMETAL concerts).

Takayoshi Ohmura is playing his signature model ESP Snapper 7 (Ohmura custom) in twinkle pink.
    That guitar is nicknamed "Pink-chan".

    Basically a good luck charm.

Too bad you won't be able to find it anymore on youtube, but the Tribute version of this song, where Takiyoshi , Boh and Hideki played this song after Mikio's death in a tribute concert, was very emotional.... They were all emotional, and Takeyoshi pretty much broke down....

Exactly. You don’t suck unless you claim to be something you aren’t. We all have different skill and commitment levels. Mikio’s solo is my favorite here, maybe 🤔… what a band.

Great job bringing this to your channel. Real fans of BabyMetal always understand the talent of the band and the dedication/discipline it took to reach that excellence. And we never take them for granted.

This is a Rock fusion, instrumental, right? Before I knew BABYMETAL, I only knew musicians from the generation above them, because I had been listening to my favorite Japanese Latin fusion almost only since my middle school. I'm so glad to know that we have younger generation of great Japanese musicians out there. Japanese fusion music is not well known in the world because it is not expanded overseas, but there are many talented musicians.
The drummer is Hideki Aoyama even though with his short hair in it. In the Kami Band, he has used a wig.
R.I.P. Mr. Mikio Fujioka. From Japan.

After Mikio Fujioka died (Black ESP M series in this video), this instrumental was finally given a name: The Hills of Wisteria. The name is fitting, as it is actually Mikio's first name: Fuji = Hills, oka = the Wisteria plant. As it was already mentioned before, this song was also performed at a tribute show hosted every year by the rest of the guys in the Kami Band, and in particular Takayoshi Ohmura (playing Pink Chan, his signature 7-string ESP Snapper in this video). He was Mikio's student, along with being a protege of Marty Friedman (Megadeth).
Mikio also has a signature ESP series as well, along with his signature ESP Snapper. When Mikio died, his wife gave Ohmura that guitar. Along with it, Ohmura added a letter to the plate underneath the bridge. That letter is from Mikio's children. Also, on the back of the headstock is Mikio's cigarette, which serves as an invitation for Mikio to come back and play that guitar anytime. Finally, as it was Mikio that got Ohmura into Babymetal, Ohmura stated that whenever he is playing with/for Babymetal, that guitar will always be there, so that part of Mikio is always playing in that band. That helps the girls out as well; Mikio was teaching them also how to play guitar.
Bands in Japan are tight, like family; they really don't let egos get the best of them, and the Kami Band is a great example of that.

Tanks again from Japan 有難う💛。If you want to see BOH's usual performance (not as a Kami but as a fusion musician), you can find a good and new video in RUclips with keywords "kari band u/yeah!!".
The 3 girls once said like "We feel we have been protected all the time by Kami band" and Kamis said "The girls took us to stages in the world, outside of Japan. We have nothing but gratitude towards them". The good relation between Kamis and Su / Moa remains intact. In a recent video uploaded in RUclips, BOH and Ohmura said how excellent "the two persons" were and how much they loved and respected "the two persons". They said so 2 days after the finial show of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan concerts on April 15 last year. They have a gag order about relation with BM but we all know who "the two persons" are.

Probably my favorite instrumental track of all times... enough said! :)
Fun fact: they actually performed it live up to six times back in 2015 during BABYMETAL concerts (most relevant: Yokohama 2015, day 1). But those performances are not part of BABYMETAL's official footage.

I learned first on classical guitar. (Grade 6, I think?) And then switched to electric. It is interesting to compare the two.
An idea for a series, maybe? I'm too many decades removed now to attempt that.
    But two things I will say about the differences;
    - fret/slide noise on a classical guitar is interpreted as 'this bit is really difficult'. On an electric guitar it means "epic fail".
    - There is no "harmonic sound" button. Making these noises (on both) is hard. Maybe easier on electric, but it depends on the note. And these guys really make it look so seamless.

1:45 that's an ESP 7 string Snapper, Ohmura signature. Yes I want that too, except it's around US$2500, available only from Japan ESP, and worse for me; worth more than 120,000 in my country's currency.

This is just one side of the Kami band. You should check out the other side. The jazz-fusion project called. "Kari Band" Featuring Boh (Bass), Yuya Maeta (Drums), Mikio (guitar)before he passed. The guitar spot is now usually reserved for Mikio's students/friends. Including his top student Oka Satoshi. Who has adopted the same style as Mikio and you can hear it clearly in such songs as "Samurai Groove. " ruclips.net/video/Ct4_nCCuSRk/видео.html
