ABOUT NEW AMSTERDAM
In the wake of the ambulance crash that ended Season 1, medical director Dr. Max Goodwin grieves the death of his wife, Georgia, and learns the difficulties of being a single parent - all the while continuing his commitment to solve systemic health care issues at the hospital. Add in his new responsibilities as a father and with cancer still lingering in the rearview mirror, everyone around Max must wonder how long he can sustain this impossible load. But "How can I help?" is not just Max's catchphrase, it's his reason for living. As long as he's helping others, Max is able to find hope in the most hopeless of places. The cast includes Ryan Eggold, Janet Montgomery, Freema Agyeman and Jocko Sims, with Tyler Labine and Anupam Kher.

In my honest opinion, I think that while he was indeed negligent in checking his ear, Reynolds should've kept a closer eye on him as well because interns are bound to make mistakes they're only human, but reynolds should've been watching Duke cause that kind of mistake could've cost that man his life.
I agree.
Look we all make mistakes, but we need to have enough humility to admit them, especially when someone's health and/or life is at risk.
let's change title to "DOCTOR'S neglect." kid should never have been responsible for that, on his own, in the first place.
Kid clearly wasn’t ready, Doc in charge should have had a microscope on him because he is still learning and we all make mistakes.
Reminds me of April from Grey's Anatomy, the burn victim episode. She did something very similar.
“Next time own up to it “ followed by “this stays between us”. 2 contradictory statements right there what r u really teaching him?
exactly!
the lady with a cane (never watched this show) is just female house but just a bit more politically correct
oh thats bloom and i dont remember what happened with the leg
No comments? 😢
just came out, give it like a few more days
Obvious favoritism, gone wrong
The hell it ain't. Imagine being so high on yourself you can't think 'Oh, this kid can't possibly handle a basic workup/checks'. If you can't trust an intern to do THAT on his own, then tf he doing in medical field?
Why i fear newbies he should be fired sorry but to take your eyes off a current patient hes needs to go
They are future doctors, not robots 🤦🏼♀️
Right and you’re in medical school?
It was their fault just as much as his. He was not supposed to do that alone for this reason
He was distracted, he is new, it's a easy mistake to make. Don't sweat it kid.
Not when it put a life at risk
😥
