Saw these guys way back in Missoula, MT. Probably 1994 and they opened up for Stone Temple Pilots. However, though STP was very good, we unanimously felt the Meat Puppets were the highlight that night.

I'll never forget the early 90's trying to tell one of the many European students visiting the US what American culture really is (not some -American BS>. The Meat Puppets were both an unusual phenomenon and an 80's stand-out that illustrated this perfectly. Too bad history mostly missed this amazing event.
