The vocals man... No training, no coaches. Just pure grunge. I'm not much of a singer but Kurt just brings everything out, the moment when all shame and fear becomes power. The moment when you don't care if you hit those notes right or wrong, the moment when you become the music.
Just absolute beauty this band and this man was.

Possibly my favourite ever live set. It always does make me ponder what Cobain could have done if he eventually transitioned into a more softer singer songwriter type style. Because there’s no way he’d do anything generic so it would have been exciting as fuck to witness. A lot of his unreleased tracks feel like they’d suit this style too.
Either way, these are legendary live performances.

    LYRICS
Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly
They go to the lake of fire and fry
See 'em again 'til the fourth of July
I knew a lady who came from Duluth
Bit by a dog with a rabid tooth
She went to her grave just a little too soon
Flew away howling on the yellow moon
Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly
They go down to the lake of fire and fry
See 'em again 'til the fourth of July
    People cry and people moan
Look for a dry place to call their home
Try to find some place to rest their bones
While the angels and the devils try to make them their own
Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly
They go down to the lake of fire and fry

I was shopping with my mate and his kid the other day. He asked his dad if he could have this nirvana t-shirt. I asked the kid, do you know what that is? He said no, I just like the shirt. I said I'll buy it for you if you listen to this! Gave him nevermind and incesterside. All his mates are wearing the same nirvana gear now. 3rd generation. I encourage EVERYONE who views this to go and hear the original. It is maybe not what you expect. But isn't that the beautiful thing? Nirvana covered this underground song and made it so different but blossomed. Just a look into how influence can come from many places. We are all a product of influence. And we "choose" what influences we like, and what we don't like.
