Things are popping good for one woman who started her popcorn business in 2020

While people were hunkering down and not going out, one local woman decided to do the opposite. Stephanie Williams created a popcorn business and it’s popping up all over town. It’s called The Perfect Pop Gourmet Popcorn. You can find it at their main store in Belleville but also at area Fresh Thyme stores and several farmers markets.

Is this a cottage food business? I'm asking because Missouri cottage food law does not list popcorn on their list of allowed foods to make or sell in Missouri. Even though the FDA declares it to be a non potentially hazardous food.

Your cottage food law has to label it. It can be popcorn or kettle corn. My state specifically says popcorn and kettle corn you might need to check with your list.
