I patterned my 1187 with a factory extended choke alongside my buddys A5 with a code black goose and there were only 2-14 difference on target. Very little difference. Which blows that so called theory away that "shotguns shoot different" no they dont a smooth bore, same choke restriction, same ammo, at the same distance they shoot the same. Other than the shim kits some may shoot a little bit higher or a bit lower or higher thats an easy fix A5 Code black goose 40yd Boss - 3" #2, 150 total, 114 O.T. I tested 3 different chokes in my SBE3 in 2011, couldn't improve on the factory choke. Had more variance in different lots of shotshells than with the chokes. I tested Fed blue box, Rem Hyper , WinXpert, Hevimetal, Kent Fasteel. After I sold it, picked up a Fabarm SXS in 2014, not sure if there are even aftermarket chokes for them, but, didn't need chokes again, and I tested with all the same stuff other than I subbed Score for Rem Hyper, the SBE liked 2 types, the Fabarm likes all 4, Kent was the best, but, that was a completely different lot batch, too.
Great work. Definitely need patter my 12ga's. I know with xxfull out mossberg with #4 shot buckshot I hit a dry door. My uncle in cusin both have single shot 3-1/2 inch H&r turkey guns they take turkey at 50+yards . My sas12ga Hatfield I realy like it only got a xfull benille chuck tub I found. The mossberg I got xfull and xxfull chucks their both rated for steel and heavy-shot. I run xfull chuck or full chuck here deep pa woods for squirrel and turkey with #4 shot or #5 . Got box #3 steel for duck if go with friend some time but from another state
This is not how I would judge a pattern. I wouldn't bother counting how many pellets hit a circle. I would judge the size of the spaces within a pattern. This duck would have been dead doesn't really mean it was a good pattern.
It would be nice to see how they pattern with a more conventional choke.
I'm glad to see you on RUclips and hope you are feeling well.
Joe Quixotic I’ll be posting more videos on how factory chokes perform to.!

Very nice to see You again
It’s good to be back in the swing of things
At 20 yards, try the code black decoy/timber. Beautiful patterns in my M2. The code black duck is more suited for 40+yards.
theno3topqb I’ll do that.! Thanks for the input
Cool Video Buddy
Best video ever thank you so much I got the info that i need no more no less perfect please review more chokes
I plan on doing more video on several of the Patternmaster and other brands to.!
@@vaughnprecision sweet I will be looking forward to it but you did an awesome job on the review
You need a better cam mount on that barrel the way that thing was flexing on your slow mo lol

Right on! Thanks
You mixed the targets up the Benelli was the second ones you showed
Which sling are you using on the M3000?
nwhitacre I’ve been using the Claw sling
Thanks for the quick reply.
You mixed up the 40 yard shots the stoeger shot was the first 1 you showed and the benelli was the second targe you showed at 40
Thank Q Sir.
20yds is to tight 40 yds is to open seems like code black is a 30yd fixed choke
👍
