- A manhunt for Andrew Cunanan was launched after he killed Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace in front of his Miami mansion. Cunanan was later linked to the killings of four others whose murders spanned multiple states. Cunanan, like fellow serial killers Richard Ramirez, Jeffery Dahmer, and John Wayne Gacy, terrified Americans. Inside Edition met with the families of the victims of those killers and the police officers who put an end to the killings.
Ramirez was probably the scariest, unpredictable and evil.. But Dahmer and Bundy, they were wolves in sheeps clothing, so cold and rational -in their own way.. They worked wisely, so to speak..
I totally agree I saw a old interview Dahmer actually admitted that nothing's wrong with him he just did it because he felt the power of hurting people🤔

Very true. The Netflix series about him was really good & I didn’t know anything about him before that. I can’t imagine what his victims went through - so incredibly scary to imagine waking up to someone standing by your bed with a gun in some cases.

@@puprilla Ramirez killed *at least* 14 people. His own lawyer said “it wasn’t his first rodeo” … meaning the 1984/1985 rampage. He had more victims we don’t know about yet.
He also told a cop from SF that he had killed two elderly women there and he wasn’t charged for those. The two homicide cops in LA who helped crack the case also believe he had more than 14 victims.

I was a baby when the "Night Stalker" was in San Francisco. I remember my dad was a cop Sfpd. He taught my mom to shoot a rifle and gave her a 38 to have in the kitchen juT in case. And a 22lr in the bedroom.
But nobody knew it was the night stalker until after he was arrested. It was his first couple crimes before even being named the night stalker or before anyone knew he had ever been to sf. So I doubt your parents knew it was the night stalker. The cops just thought it was two random crimes

@@Xane_Dragon If you’re talking about the Ramirez segment, it wasn’t a stupid answer. Ramirez killed people to satisfy his “needs” - those were to fulfill his deviant sexual fantasies & commit robberies to pay for his drugs.
That was his motive as Frank Salerno said - to kill people. Salerno & Gil Carrillo saw the most gruesome crime scenes imaginable thanks to Ramirez and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone even if they work in homicide. His reply to the reporter was accurate.

I miss Versace & I’ve never met him a day in life. The people who had the pleasure to know him personally & have a relationship with him would’ve been an honor. Versace was the reason Naomi Campbell could grow to the top of her game. The racism & colorism was very loud & he wouldn’t do things without Campbell which made everyone realize they would be a package deal. Versace paved the way for many people.

Cunanan was convinced he was HIV positive because he’d been so promiscuous and obviously he was mentally unhinged/paranoid. However his autopsy revealed he was negative for the virus.
There is at least one investigator who has said Versace was HIV positive at the time of his death. I think his HIV status is also disclosed or hinted at in the documentary about his murder; sorry, I can’t recall if it was Netflix or FX or both.
I mention this because some theorize that Cunanan & Versace had a one night stand on the West Coast, and AC was convinced Versace had infected him which led to the murder. I doubt that theory, personally, because virtually no one outside of Versace’s partner & medical practitioners knew he was positive.
There is some evidence that Cunanan and Versace met once very briefly. They may have had sex because it wasn’t uncommon for Versace & his long term partner to add a third into their bed. Perhaps they simply met at a party or reception because they both attended a lot of them. Earlier in his life, Cunanan was rolling into a lot of elite circles because the men keeping him were ultra wealthy.
Andrew was very concerned about aging and was having difficulty getting rich “clients” in his last few years. I think the simplest motive for killing Versace was rage - Cunanan wanted nothing more than to be famous and most of all wealthy. Versace represented all he wanted and would never have.
There’s always been a rumour that Cunanan was angry that Versace wasn’t interested in him (beyond a one night stand if they did indeed have one). AC spent quite a while casing out Versace’s routine and route to and from the magazine store near his mansion. He definitely plotted to kill Versace.
There’s also some indication that Lee Miglin indulged in some gigolo fun outside of his marriage. His murder was horrific - I think it would have been more publicized if he hadn’t been so wealthy and married to a fairly high profile woman.

I think the pandemic have really thought people the importance of multiple streams of income, unfortunately having a job doesn't mean security.
