I have key blanks that I have removed part of the head of the key si that I can lift the pins, drill, then turn the cylinder and then I would remove the drill and the key. Looks more professional to me instead of drilling then re-drilling the same hole 2 or 3 times…

Sometimes when you drill too fast the drill bit breaks in the lock and it becomes very tricky to remove the broken drill bit.
Can you tell us what brand of drills do you use ?

Go to a Commercial Construction Supply and purchase “jobber” drill bits.

Use a "real" Tap (Harbor Freight) a 1/16 above the keyhole - so your bit stays put..then I used a 7/64 bit . (You can get all "tools" from Harbor Freight) and I could feel the pins being broken. I used 9/64 bit to FiNiSH the Job. (I even saw the pins bits and metal come out of the lock. It didn't Go smoothly. In the end the key slot turned Left instead of Right. I kept at it till I could literally SEE in side the key hole. there was a tiny bit metal that eluded me. I kept at it and the key hole FiNALLY Turned Right and the latch gave way...SucceSS
TiP for the screwdrivers I used "skinny" one - smooth barrel with a small flat head. Dont get discouraged if "keyhole" moves Only to Left. DONT Use a Larger bit than 5/32. Master Locksmith gave his two cents about a guy using 1/4, but NeVer Disclosed the "Right" SizeIt can destroy the Barrel housing? - anyways smaller is better. It took some Time. I didn't want to Just Blast thru it

That's a cheap lock, try it with 3 harden anti drill pins! It ain't gonna happen.
