I found dresses to be the most comfortable and practical garment throughout pregnancy and those that open in the front on into nursing my babies. I pray you do nurse your babe for many reasons... always ready, custom blend, right temperature, right amount and the bonding is wonderful not to mention how it contributes to your well being physically as well as mentally.

One thing I heard that helped me(and I know nausea severity differs widely) during that first trimester was this: when I felt nausea I would force myself to have a few bites of saltine cracker and water, in spite of my dry mouth and how awful eating sounded. I would feel better by about 30 minutes later! Also, it was so gratifying and made me smile to hear your kind words about your impression of kindness in the USA! So glad you enjoyed your visit! Best tip I ever received…..from my grandmother - warmed up olive oil massaged into your stomach, breasts, backside and thighs will STOP stretch marks from happening….and it feels wonderful on your stomach especially which has to stretch quite a bit! My grandmother swore by this and it definitely worked for me as well. Congratulations and best wishes for a wonderful pregnancy !
I agree...I used palmers cocoa butter lotion for stretch marks. Begin rubbing your stomach and about 1 to 2 inches above your navel. I made it all the way up to 8 months without any sign of stretch marks so i figured I was one of the lucky ones but I was mistaken... 9th month came around and they all appeared. If you start early, they wont be so bad. All the best to you with all my love.💕
Yes this is the best advice that my mother-in-law gave me 4 kids later I have no stretch marks around my stomach and back area however unfortunately I forgot my breast area but constant use of coconut oil took care of that.

If you have energy to batch film a lot of videos in advance, do so, because when the baby is here, if will be challenging. Unless, of course, you have some help from grandparents, which I didn't have. I could get back to 1 week schedule only almost 2 years after the second child was born. But I'm happy to help / collaborate / support in any way. It's great to stay in touch.
Congratulations, during pregnancy I bought a few dresses that would expand the duration and wore them with blazers to work. It was 20 years ago so colourful jewellery was a good upward distraction at my neck! Hope you start to feel less sick and enjoy your next 6 months.
I agree with you about the US. I love Slovaks (Eastern Europe), but gosh, it is probably the grumpiest nation in the world. Some people say that Americans are fake, but after living over 30y in Slovakia, I actually appreciate when somebody tries to be nice even though they don't feel the best.
Congratulations!!! During the first couple of trimesters, I purchased a few pieces that were a size or two bigger than my pre-pregnancy size, and chose styles that had less definition at the waist, such as swing-style dresses, and A-line dresses. This turned out to be a good choice, especially button-down shirtwaist styles that I could wear after the pregnancy before I fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. Styles that easily opened in the front were great for post-pregnancy. I also wore leggings/yoga pants/joggers with cute tops during the early post-pregnancy days. I did purchase probably too many maternity outfits--I was working and wanted to look chic--but then after, when I realized I spent a packet on clothes! I kind of wished I hadn't bought so much as we ended up only having one child. I lent out the clothes to my girlfriends--which is another great idea if you have fashionable friends who have already had children you might be able to borrow some things rather than purchasing a whole wardrobe. I can't wait to see how you create stylish looks!

Veteran Mom: I am small - size 4 going into pregancy - and got away with loose tops, knit pants/leggings, a stretchy skirt, and knit dresses for a while In my third trimester, I found that the lower end of the size range in reasonable quality "plus size" stores was perfect (a 16P at Lane Bryant, for example), particularly knit tops and dresses. You don't need to get super high quality, because, trust me, you will never want to see those clothes again, post-delivery. Put them away in a box. If you have another baby, go through them when they'll fit again. If you still can't bear them, send them out in the world.... Congratulations! (also, this is a REALLY good time to buy stunning accessories)

Congratulations!!! I have three kids, all teenagers now. When they’re little, it can be overwhelming. My older sister told me to cherish the moments because the days may be long, but the years are short. I’m about to send my firstborn off to university and the truth of that statement has really sunk in. Also, show yourself plenty of grace. Some mothering instincts come naturally, but much of motherhood is trial and error. Mistakes are a great teacher, and children are resilient and very prone to forgiveness.❤

Congratulations! 🎉I’m also pregnant and have a similar style and just like in your case, I can’t wear my jeans anymore. 😅 Usually I still wear my beloved turtlenecks on colder days and combine them with skirts or trousers with a loose waistband. On warmer days I wear oversized button down shirts. I pair everything with loose trenchcoats and everything looks fine! Last week I bought some bodycon dresses for summer and autumn at Mango (I sized up and they look amazing). For me it’s important that I feel beautiful and can embrace my femininity even if I gained some kilos… P.S. Ginger tea/water helps with nausea and eating little portions of food more often. But thankfully it wasn't as bad as I thought... having lots of snacks helped, as well as having plenty of rest time. I know some ladies can suffer much worse, so I consider myself blessed. I'm just off my second pregnancy, I bought a few pieces for each season once I didn't fit into my clothes, it's an interesting process of sizing up and then sizing back down takes a LOT of time. I think my approach of a few key pieces, capsule style, for each season that actually fit has worked pretty well, but I definitely miss having more volume and variety to my wardrobe.
Congratulations!!! You’re going to be an Amazing Mom! I’m barely 5 foot 2 and when I started to outgrown my pants. I used belly bands. They fit around the waist and held the pants in place. It just looked like I had layered shirt. Sports bras were wonderful for the size fluctuations. Icy hot patches helped my lower back pain, once I was further along and experiencing more back pain. I would wake up at 3am starving and want to eat. I never wanted to eat late at night. My OBGYN told me to eat a spoonful of peanut butter before I went to bed and that helped. I’m like you and always cold. I was pregnant through the hot humid summer in Tennessee. I wore tank tops and a thin Mens oversized button up shirt over. So I could be cool but not showing everything. I only bought a few maternity sundresses and capri pants.
CONGRATULATIONS such wonderful news. My only advice to you is love yourself ,do what you feel is right for you. I visited the USA firstly in 1972 for our honey on and several times after that and I found the hospitality and kindness and upbeat attitude of the Americans just amazing.God Bless and have a wonderful pregnancy and take it easy.

Congratulations!!! I have three kids, all teenagers now. When they’re little, it can be overwhelming. My older sister told me to cherish the moments because the days may be long, but the years are short. I’m about to send my firstborn off to university and the truth of that statement has really sunk in. Also, show yourself plenty of grace. Some mothering instincts come naturally, but much of motherhood is trial and error. Mistakes are a great teacher, and children are resilient and very prone to forgiveness.❤

Congratulations! 🎉I’m also pregnant and have a similar style and just like in your case, I can’t wear my jeans anymore. 😅 Usually I still wear my beloved turtlenecks on colder days and combine them with skirts or trousers with a loose waistband. On warmer days I wear oversized button down shirts. I pair everything with loose trenchcoats and everything looks fine! Last week I bought some bodycon dresses for summer and autumn at Mango (I sized up and they look amazing). For me it’s important that I feel beautiful and can embrace my femininity even if I gained some kilos…
P.S. Ginger tea/water helps with nausea and eating little portions of food more often.

I know it´s a kliche, but time flies by so fast. I loved both being pregnant, giving birth and now being a mother. Oh, that first look into the eyes of a new born... You have so many good moments in front of you 💞
Silvia, I was really apprehensive about the trip, especially because we were going to be in a car for a lot of it. But thankfully it wasn't as bad as I thought... having lots of snacks helped, as well as having plenty of rest time. I know some ladies can suffer much worse, so I consider myself blessed. Thank you so much for your sweet message and well wishes 😌 I'm trying to enjoy every moment.

Congratulations!!! Sending lots of love to you and baby, so wise to take time off and I hope you can continue to move at a restful pace. I'm just off my second pregnancy, I bought a few pieces for each season once I didn't fit into my clothes, it's an interesting process of sizing up and then sizing back down takes a LOT of time. I think my approach of a few key pieces, capsule style, for each season that actually fit has worked pretty well, but I definitely miss having more volume and variety to my wardrobe.

Congratulations!!! You’re going to be an Amazing Mom! I’m barely 5 foot 2 and when I started to outgrown my pants. I used belly bands. They fit around the waist and held the pants in place. It just looked like I had layered shirt. Sports bras were wonderful for the size fluctuations. Icy hot patches helped my lower back pain, once I was further along and experiencing more back pain. I would wake up at 3am starving and want to eat. I never wanted to eat late at night. My OBGYN told me to eat a spoonful of peanut butter before I went to bed and that helped. I’m like you and always cold. I was pregnant through the hot humid summer in Tennessee. I wore tank tops and a thin Mens oversized button up shirt over. So I could be cool but not showing everything. I only bought a few maternity sundresses and capri pants.
CONGRATULATIONS such wonderful news. My only advice to you is love yourself ,do what you feel is right for you. I visited the USA firstly in 1972 for our honey on and several times after that and I found the hospitality and kindness and upbeat attitude of the Americans just amazing.God Bless and have a wonderful pregnancy and take it easy.
