- The plaintiff hired the defendant to redo the bathrooms in his house. The defendant barely did anything and refuses to return payments, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant insists he put a lot of work into the plaintiff's house. The plaintiff failed to provide all of the materials he needed to complete the job, according to the defendant.

#PeoplesCourt #RealityTV #Court
For all the money he paid (hotel stay & plane Tickets) he should have just hired a contractor from Delaware, that wasn't so bright of him!
Quoted $10,500- $17,000 by 3 different contractors just for a shower/tub replacement in one bathroom, not even an entire bathroom renovation. He is doing 3 bathrooms, 6 days of labor, and only charging $1,700. Even with the airline tickets and hotel for 7 days he’s coming out ahead honestly.
@@JaneDoe-kd6in cheap comes out expensive. People get what they pay for.
@@ismaelrodriguez6420 Agreed… however if this deal had been conducted in a more professional manner on both ends, with a clear understanding of expectations and all materials readily available and all written out I absolutely believe this deal would have been a success and beneficial.
Plus ubers and tools.

Plaintiff at the end calling the defendant a clown. Makes me giggle when he was the dummy who thought it a good idea to fly someone across the country to save some money. LOL!
Every time the Plaintiff said, "basically", I did a shot. Basically, I'm drunk now.
I did a kegel every time he said it. My leg is cramping now 😅
@@one_ice_cold_chiq your LEG is cramping? lol
i will go and delete my same comment now LOL
@@MomIrregardless yup!
😂😂😂
Just a few minutes in, and I've already reached my "basically" threshold. Where is Judge Judy when you need her?
I thought the same. Why doesn’t judge Milian not say anything?? This is soooo annoying! Aehm… basically…. Aehm Ähm Basically oh and basically 🥴
I’m losing it. It’s so annoying!
I can’t finishing watching it actually. Basically I’m leaving, bye y’all!
Was thinking the exact same thing!
😂
No tools, no material, no decision maker, foreign location, different codes, unlicensed handyman.
I wonder what could go wrong?
Yeah that's definitely a face slap moment 🤦🏼♀️
The plaintiff is so dramatic telling his story. “This is where it’s gets crazy…. I called and WOKE HIM UP”
im sure he was jetlagged
NO! (clutching my pearls)
CRAY! CRAY!! Flying handyman across the country!!!!!🤦♀️🙄🙄🙄🙄
Can't do nothing with money but spend it 🎉🎉
Stupid deal plus the plaintiff should be there on the job with that handy man
He must have did it for DIRT CHEAP
If the plaintiff says “basically” one… More… Time!🙄🙄 judge Judy would’ve had a field day with him!
Judge Judy would have screamed at him 😂
I think the same thing every time I hear someone say it!! 😂
I’m basically screaming right back at him
😂😂😂😂😂 I was thinking the same thing!!! He takes 4mins to say nothing, ugh! Dude get over yourself!
Judge m Milian let’s litigants get away with so much judge Judy never would
Wait…so instead of hiring a licensed professional in your area…you decide…to “save money” by FLYING this man ACROSS COUNTRY, pay for his hotel for 7 days!! And a weeks worth of work…and that’s somehow normal and saving money? I’m so lost about how this whole scenario would’ve made any sense to the plaintiff and his “soul mate” 😂 sounds irrational and not practical at all. Just pay a local contractor and keep it simple people!
He's definitely Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
It sounds crazy when you say it like that...
...and it sounded crazy when the plaintiff said it, too.
😂
@@barbarareel71mom1son04 "Not the sharpest turnip in the alphabet," is how I prefer to capture this level of complete insanity.
Yep, that’s basically how it happened! Lol😂
He does not live in Delaware so he chose to fly hid own guy there. It makes perfect sense if you listened.
Drinking game; Every time the Plaintiff says "basically" . Cheers ;)
Everyone would be dead before the end of the case lol
😂
I’m home take me drunk 😂
@m00nm00n Best Comment Ever
I’m drunk. 😂😂😂
Basically the plaintiff has the defendant saying "Basically" basically
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
Basically 😂😂
Sounds crazy that Plaintiff didn't have EVERYTHING pre-ordered and ready for collection OR DELIVERY to the house the moment Defendant arrived. Doing it this way was ridiculous and caused multiple days of delay. No way he would finish on time.
who has a contractor pick stuff out.... NO!
Right! It makes no sense.. in fact the whole case is nonsense 🙄
I love how people always try to say "I was trying to help someone out" or "I was trying to be a good person" when it's obvious that had nothing to do with anything lol.
Yes.. I just told my sister..Stop helping wtf you fall in a hole. Just stop..
In under 2 minutes the plaintiff says “basically” at least 6-7 times. He’s a charming young man, but I really don’t know if I can make it through 20 more minutes.
I've counted nine...so far
And then the defendant says it a bunch too lol
he cute toooo
That word is very irritating
Im with ya on this one...and I'm under 3 minutes in. Aaacckkk!
Bathroom are expense but $1700 for labor is cheap. Especially for 3 bathrooms.
Yes!
MIC DROP...FOR SURE. I just remolded 2 bathrooms that had broken tiling, no vent/fan, etc... but still functional, in a house I bought and it cost me $10,500 total for BASICS...No designer ANYTHING. NO NEW OR CHANGES IN PLUMBING, just basic fixings😳 to FIX what was NEEDED to prevent further damage! I think I over paid....
both litigants are shady . the plaintiff was shady to think someone is gonna travel thousands of miles from home just to get paid the same or less per day as he could get at home and the defendant was shady because he knew there was no way he would be able to get all that work done without his tools within one week but he agreed to do it just to get the free all expenses paid vacation and money up front that he got .
Basically
That's what I thought. I don't know how much tradespeople make in the US, but in New Zealand it's a hell of a lot more than $200 a day. And wouldn't the owner have to get the electrics certified by a licensed electrician?
The plaintiffs idea was so stupid, I wonder where in the heck did he get an idea like that.
His soul mate
@@barbarareel71mom1son04 Omg 😂
This is a hairbrained idea. Everything should have been at the house ready for him to install. days go by real fast and you want him to pick out your stuff too?
Totally agree. I am a tradie and wouldn't do any work without my own gear. I would of first of all do a site visit and quote with pictures of existing state of bathroom. This would of been paid at the expense of the owner.
I called him at 10:30 Eastern time and he was just getting up. The guy flew out from California so he's still on California time which would be 7:30 body time.
I have to travel between time zones often. Mountain to Eastern kicks my butt. Pacific to Eastern? Losing hours? Thinking you can get up at literally 4:30 am "body" time to do a fulls day work? C'mon! AND he was kinda miffed he dind't work the first day when he got there when he landed at 3:00? The Plaintiff was made of special sauce.
This was a bad deal tbh. Why not hire anybody local? I’m not flying out a tradesman no offense. You can find a lot of locals to install flooring and toilets
EASY- he underpaid the the guy 242$/ day for 12hr days, dude is stingy af and nuts.
Cheap deal
He just taking in circles 😂
Somebody was hoping to be "discovered" on national television, lol. What a ridiculous plan.
He was a fool for not looking for someone local
Lol why did the plaintiff feel the need to say my soulmate. It's cringy as
He's basically cringy
@@Enemyatg334😅
Yeah.. the record scratched at that moment.. Lol
Lolz@@christophernunn77
Because he said partner if I called my gf partner I would run all the way to the Bay Area 😊
1700 dollars for 7 days?! That is wild. How was that even close to being enough?
Now I understand what judge Judy does not like people when they say basically,
Like, whatever 🙄
Everyone uses basically tooooooo much. For gods sake, consult a thesaurus and change it up a bit 😮
Not to forget like and you know!!!
"Umm is not a word!!"
- Judge Judy
Because she old
The plantiff should have never flown anyone to redo a house. The defendant didn't know what to do. He was overwhelmed..
Dude made sure he let the world know that dude was his soulmate lol
Going to Home Depot is a 2-3 hour field trip
Exactly 👍🏽
When a grown man uses “basically” in almost every sentence…😬
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
$1700?!? Bruh $10k minimum for 1 full bathroom with shower renovation 😂 get what u pay for
this is the case of basically vs basically
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
😂😂😂😂😂
When the plaintiff said 'my soul mate' I knew he was a total idiot
🤣
😊😅😂😂
At first, I thought he said “cell mate.” 😂
@@MsSaka100😂
The Plaintiff should’ve had everything already prepped and ready to install if his plan was to fly someone across country.
There are people in Delaware who do that kind of work.
I honestly don’t know if the plaintiff or the defendant said BASICALLY more. It’s a dead heat and I’m only 12 minutes in. 😂
Plaintiff..wins on saying basically more times...
"The Cheap Comes Out Expensive "
If you need a contractor, you don't hire a handyman. Defendant sounds lazy af
Lol so basically I just came for the comments 🤣
So he (basically) send him without his tools and didn't have anything ready. How was he supposed to do his job. He just wanted to save big time money by paying this man that small amount of money.
Basically, if someone flew me out and paid for my hotel and gave me their Home Depot card and get what you need..... That job would have been done perfectly!!! I would be flexing on my portfolio. Saying "Yes, Basically im so good at what i do they flew me out to do a job"!
It probably was cheaper to hire someone in Delaware than to fly this guy in from California.
Not if he works for an airline. When I worked at an airline I got free airplane tickets
Omgosh! Basically Basically Basically Basically - STOP
Having BIG fun in Wilmington, Delaware!
The plaintiff is so lucky to have this smart Judge!!
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
It's baTHrooms, not baFrooms. Just one of those little things that irritate me when I should just let it pass...........
LOL me too!! Other examples are: mines instead of mine, ax instead of ask, conversate instead of converse. I totally agree with you, it should be let go, but 😖😖😖🥴😂
Meeee toooo!
But you same folks aren't irritated with folks saying "juse guys" and "fuhgeddaboudit".
Judge Judy - I understand you girl 😂this man said basically more times than I can count
"No basically. What did you do. Also, don't look there, look at me!" 😂
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
This is the craziest arrangement i have ever heard of. Who the heck flies a handyman from LA to Delaware?
If we took a shot everytime they said "we'll basically...." we'd be dead from alcohol poisoning!😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is insane, who flies a builder across country to work? There would be ten thousand builders where the house is. Did they fly all his tools over as well? Insanity.
Basically he basically went basically to the house basically. That’s basically what basically happened.
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
Some people cannot work independently. They are good at carrying out orders, only when the boss is there.
This reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where Jerry hires the contractor who can't make a decision 😂
Wait, what. JM’s father was a contractor? She’s never mentioned that before. 🤣😅😂
They could’ve just hired someone local, it would’ve been just cheaper
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
We all know that one , he's not the brightest bulb in the package !!!
One thing I know is that Judge Milian comes from a long line of contractors 😂😂😂
And that she has 3 daughters lol
😂😂😂😂😂
oh no!! now the defendant is saying 'basically'.....mercy!!
Take a shot every time they say “basically” 😂😂
I wouldn't feel comfortable picking out someone's decor and fixtures as a contractor. I don't understand why Milan thinks that's normal
She doesn’t she said so herself lol
$242 per day doesn't get skilled labor to remodel a bathroom!
Basically, good luck with your bafrooms
He got what he deserves. Who flies a handyman across country. Hire a professional contractor in Delaware.
I'm a few seconds in and I'm already TIRED of basically. I'm ready to pull my hair out!!! 😂😂😂
What a bad idea!
The one time we need Doug to give his sassy one liners and rip into both of them he just stands down for the first time in his career. Sheesh. Covid really got my boy down bad
Your honor, he flew me across the country!!!!!
If the defendant was hot, this weird setup would make sense by reading between the lines. But I don’t get it.
@19:27 does no one else catch that voice cut in for his name😂😂😭
Basically, is the new literally.
Defendant must have the craftsmanship of Paul Bunyan, if he was “flewed” in.😂😂😂
I love how the judge says “Meeester Ashhayyybahhreeeya” and Douglas says “Mister Achee-barra” 🤣
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
😅they were both full of basically!
People always mess up a good situation
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
I love and dig Judge Milians knowledge of contracting since her family are experts! Perfect Judge for this case. Don't mess with the Judge😊
If you go on the cheap that’s all you’re gonna get
19:03 my guy so nervous that he’s sweating bullets🤣
Plaintiff seems narcissistic and overly controlling.
Take a shot every time the plaintiff says basically.
Well to be fair at least he has three "baffrooms" 😎
If we all took a sip of a drink each time they said basically, we'd be drunk
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Basically
BASICALLY BASICALLY BASICALLY
The basically and the ummmsss are driving me!!! Ughhh lol
Lawd! I heard Delaware and my mouth fell open. 😂 Don’t embarrass us please. 😂
Delaware as a whole does that already.. you don’t need Asa for that.. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The plaintiff is the one who is the clown.
Stop saying basically damn it!
The judge has no idea what goes into refurbishing a bathroom and it’s ridiculous to expect your contractor or laborers to pick out everything for you. Home Depot is NOT the easiest place to shop. The plaintiff should have had everything ready for the defendant to pickup and install. Resourcing materials for one bathroom is a lot of work, but this guy had to do it for three. Yes, the plumbing fixtures are last, but the shower valve goes in first. No, you can’t put in a floor without the walls being in. I’m a homeowner who has built two houses from the ground up and know from experience. The plaintiff had no idea of what or how to go about the project.
They were both very annoying.
Right when I thought I've heard it all....a guy pays a handy man to fly him across the nation, pays flight penalty fees for changing tickets, and doesn't get squat done lol WOW....that's what happens when people that shouldnt have that much money has it....they pay for 💩 they spend more on this lawsuit than what his work needed is worth lol 😂
Classic case of 'more money than sense'
Basically...basically. Do people not realize they are talking to a very educated person? Do they realize they do not have to make it so basic for her understanding? It is so annoying. Basically...ugh.
I was counting how many times he said basically.Ive basically run out of time lol
😂
Basically this is a boring case.
Judge Judy!!!!!!! This man needs a vocabulary check (basically)
Question, why didn't JM ask if the defendant was a licensed contractor? Doesn't sound like he is. Plaintiff went the cheap route and hired a 'handyman' for a bathroom remodel, this is what happens.
Homeowner in unrealistic. My husband was a contractor and I've seen enough to laugh out loud at the "plan".
I bet
Husband?? Greg sound like man name
Plaintiff is a FINE looking man😂😊
I’m pretty sure he’s gay
A very d.ummy decision like who does that with a handyman. The judge was on point with her decision.
Do NOT play a drinking game using the word "basically"! You will regret it. 🥴🥴🥴😵💫😵💫😵💫😂
Judge Judy would eat him up saying, Basically lol!
Because she is a fool
He was "basically" introduced by his "soul mate"? What a douche🙄
lots of unnecessary information
Defendant just seems lazy and arrogant
Hey Mr.Basically uhm…… he is handsome though……(plaintiff)
