the front-end / design of the bike even with its retro theme has a very modern feel to it. Triumph and Bajaj designers hit it out of the park for the budget they had.
Because of the firing order all bikes have, they do not leave an imprint in your mind for long, they always miss out on the charisma or character, the proposition they bring out is all about gunning for speed, somehow that doesn't dial upto make a ever lasting memory.
I test ride both vehicles.. Dominor 400: well i felt it as big pulsar...dont know why vehicle stopped multiple times in city traffic.. I wont beilve all the hype surrounded this bike. Speed 400: one word super nimble...medium size bike.. I cant judge which one is more vfm..but i felt speed is better compare to dominor in city and small highway sprints
The Speed 400 is much smoother, more punchier, much better corner carver, better ride quality, better flickability, better mid range power delivery, better low end poke, much smaller wheelbase to aid in all this.. 17kgs weight advantage.. Better build quality & overall quality.. Much better Brand Value.. There is no cheaper lower cc variant sitting to dilute the bike's image!.. So many factors in favor of Triumph..
Even though I'll choose bajaj for its cheaper spares and parts....bajaj fuel tank cowl costs 1500 .. what about the triumph metal tank ... I guess they're gonna loot a middle class customer when it comes to spares!!
I have a domi 2020 and with almost 65k on the odo and Bengaluru traffic dealt daily, will still go with the heavier feeling Domi... But I love the Triumph too😊
Dominaar was made too heavy than RE, Speed is made featherweight compared to RE , both have too much tractable power for city, Most fun per mile is this segment all about and most stress free and safe ride is need of the hour.
Too heavy than RE i have to disagree with u on that after riding classics bs3, reborn and gt650 i would dominar is much much lighter and flickable compared to those bulky REs whenever i tried to lean with a classic it feels it will crash.. and handle needs muscle power to rotate on the other hand i can drag dominar with one hand and leg support. My practical experience till date has led me to disagree with u

with the new model already in the showroom, I'd go for dominar 400...
It seems like Bajaj have managed to keep the torque curve at a good balance for city and highway cruising.
Triumph is the best! 🔥

Nothing can match feel Triumph gives you
If you want a Haathi Math Phaalo Cow then Dominor.. If you want a Cheetah in 400cc then it is Speed 400..
