Saw them in London in '85 at the Mean Fiddler. Saw them again in May a few weeks ago at Patterns in Brighton. Still amazing band. Great night and good crowd of loyal followers.
Great Band! I saw them in 1984 or 1985 in Hamburg/Germany in a little club called "logo". Only so-called insiders as me ;-) were in the audience-great gig and cool people! The "soaping" of music business was not so advanced than it is today... Best regards to all friends of the Long Ryders! Long may you ryde Guido/Berlin
I loved them from the first time that I spun the 10-5-60 ep on my college radio show...great songs, killer live shows and, great musicianship!! Never really got the credit due to them as torchbearers of the resurgence of countrified American rock
In my time these were greats...the best independent southern sound.I seen them when I was a young guy...they kicked ass as far as I was concerned...don't make that Texas sound like this anymore.
Just a ferocious performance . They were all putting 110% into the song, and I LOVE that!
It brings tears to my eyes that these guys were not HUGE and U2 made it bigger !
Serious, straight ahead, ROCKIN !,
Always loved these guys, went to my local record store looking for some rockabilly and found these guys, bought all three of their albums that day.
Definitely one the best bands that most people have never heard of......
As with Jason and the Scorchers...i concur!
I'm 56 and I still love the sound...a true addiction of real music!!!
