probably first saw them supporting the church too, they were excellent live, and yes, i've been a fan ever since. always a great atmosphere and great merchandise!
I saw them too on that tour with The Church. Wasn't all that impressed with The Church, but The Blue Aeroplanes rocked it and absolutely stole the show! Their album Swagger is a classic. What a great band.
Well, the tour you're referring to was earlier on, and its NYC date was at The Ritz; they were amazing!!! That's where I first discovered them. Great call, sacflies- geez what a night that was- The Blue Aeros and The Church!!!
Wojtek, Bez and to a lesser extent Cressa. There was a bit of a thing for talisman dancers circa ‘89, ‘90🤔. Anyway, great song, great album, great band.
The definitive use of a multi tap delay. Swagger is a long forgotten album for me. Which makes the rediscovery of it years later all the more sweeter.
Almost made me weep.....what a tune, what a dancer, what a guitar line, what a band.
Saw them at the Fleece, Bristol. One of the best nights in my life!
Wonderful. And you can't have too many guitarists.
"Swagger" is a long time favourite album, seen them in Belfast around 90/91, shoulda been massive...
Saw them on tour with The Church in 1990. I was blown away how good they were live, and have been a fan since.
I am going to see them for my 1st time on Dec 3rd at the fleece :)

Two words. Angelo and Bruschini. The rest of them are merely very good indeed.
Gone now! Still something very special!!
This is an epic tune.
ahhh... the memories, fantastic live band
Saw them playing support to REM in Cardiff - 1989? Great gig
...and in Manchester....
saw them in Portsmouth, same tour
Every band should have a dancer. The Velvets were clearly onto something. A ruddy good composition.
this song throws its arms open and embraces anyone who comes near... beautiful... (and ellipsis)
Fucking majestic.
Love them! So very very good
Really great guitars.
Seen these last 2 Xmas in Bristol. On tour again winter 2016/17. New album Jan 2017 'Welcome, stranger! '
Excellent, a beautiful song.
Had this cd bf anyone else in LA. What great times.
Junior year in high school. I saw and met these guys at Maxwell's in Hoboken.
john gonzalez On tour with The Church by chance? Saw them on that tour (1990?) and they totally stole the show!

I saw them open for the Furs or perhaps the Church in Philly on this tour. Memorable...
all 25 kinds of love.....

Yay!
is this supposed to be enjoyed together with Weightless? they blend into each other seamlessly
what was it they said that if you went in to a pub in Bristol there's a good chance you'd bump into a blue aeroplane's guitarist
we're all going backwards xx
...
An absolutely tremendous song wasted on a feeble crowd. Could have done with another 7 guitarists.
