Absolutely fantastic song & a personal soundtrack of my college years. Syd Griffin is a treasure to the Americana music scene. This song is like CCR & The Clash being mixed together.
Found an old diary with records i meant to buy...this was in it! Ironic i was just researching Clark's daughter,Huguette ,172yrs from her father being born until the daughter died, got to be a record, and i also discovered, the GRANDSON of the 10th US President(Tyler) is still ALIVE (USA was only 14yrs old when he was born),absolutely nuts! :)
Fantastic band--I totally agree pal--as a Brit ere in Britain it took me a while to get my mates to see America music--Along with Jason and is merry band of scorchers ---still playing this stuff at tiny gigs, but still Rockin.
It's been 35 years since I last listened to this song which I had recorded on a VHS tape. I came here after watching an interview with Joe Strummer and Sid Griffin. Great song from my teenage years!
Saw them back in the eighties. This was their encore and I'm fairly sure that is the loudest I have ever heard a crowd cheer and scream. These guys were awesome live.
underrated band . unappreciate band. out of time band. Their music is not for all people. All this made of The Long Ryders a band for iniciated people. Enjoy it if you can. Jajajajaja(smile)
The Long Ryders I can say without exaggeration are one of the 5 best bands of all time. I put them in there with the Beatles, U2, Steely Dan, and Radiohead. Their songwriting and their sound were tops.
Seeing Sid & Peter Case in London in June. Cant wait. Stephen's solo at the end sounds different fro the album version. Feel like seeing the band again in June now at Chelsea

Syd, a University of South Carolina Grad. GO COCKS!
Hell yeah!
Definitely like The Blasters
One of the best songs from the 1980s.
The most underrated Americana band!
Excellent
AWESOME ! Underrated band, they had everything... HATS OFF !!!!
Their new album is very good

Gig in London May 2023 for any UK based fans (fans from other countries also available) I'm up in Scotland but definitely having some of this.
Saw them live in the 80s and have just seen them play on their current tour (2024). They're still brilliant - still so exciting live!

Pure “balls out” sweet rock n roll glory
I have this single, bought in 87ish. Brilliant
That does it. I'm bringing back the sideburns!
This song slays me every time I hear it. Should be in the dictionary under "rock and roll."

So many underrated bands then,Jason and the Scorchers were great too,but never became a household name!
They still are!!
Everything rock should be.
Great song I hadn't heard in years.....
wow what a beauty
Great Show at the 229 Club London with good friend Will Birch who produced this!
La primera vez los vi en directo fue en Madrid en los 80, me gustaron mucho
Sure takes me back to my high school days, when you found good bands on MTV.
Truly awesome
Was belting this out in the car earlier
Great band
Used to be an end of night floor filler at my now defunct local The Stamford Arms....Air guitars at the ready......
Just watched them play this tonight live at Newcastle...still brilliant and focused.
I went to the Leeds and Manchester shows roughly 5 years ago. I flew from Baltimore Maryland to see them. Well worth the trip.
I saw them in Sweden
I think it was in the 80s
Great band

Love the hat tip to Gram Parsons.
With the mutton chops and all that, looking quite retro for the time.
I saw them!!! I can die fulfilled

They are in a class of their own!! Comparisons don't do them justice.
