      @@jmafryj ah dang! Glad to hear the warranty was valid though and they are taking care of it. Thanks for sharing your experience with them!
      It is unfortunate that these particular skates are having this frame issue as the Neo dual shell is really nice; all my FR1s (and wife FR2 and FRX) skates have been amazing and have had no issues 😭

    @jakishtra 5 месяцев назад +1

    They should have released the neo1 by the end of June. But it seems that there is a delay now. I wonder if it is due to the issue you've highlight

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  5 месяцев назад +2

      @@jakishtra I doubt it as I believe the Neo1 may have different metal (not 100% sure on that) but they are called Neo C frames instead of Neo D like on the Neo2.
      Inercia skate shop lists them being available “approximate June-July 2024” so if that is true they may be released very soon 👀

    Hey, thanks for the vids! Have you had any issues since?

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  Месяц назад +1

      @@bardcorebush hey! Thanks for watching; I have had no issues with the replacement frames; I ended up selling these boots actually because they were a size too large and I downsized my boots after 😅 I am thinking of getting another pair but have been really enjoying down sized FR1s (40 shell FR1 w/ Intuition is virtually perfect fit for my feet and Neo shells are little different sized than the FR1 shells)
      However I had no issues with them other than the frames; one person I know did not like the extra cuff flex (on the single density shell) and a few others with frame issues like mine. The decreased ride height and wider shell seem to be main pros for most folks I have talked to on the Neos. Hope this helps!

    One of the reasons I bought the Neo 2 80s, was because the frame got the boot really close to the ground. The replacement frame I'm using on one for now is higher.
    I wonder if it'd make and difference tightening with a wheel in... The second one you tightened didn't seem that hard. When mine went, it didn't really pop... It just started to feel softer as it went past it's point of plastic deformation.
    I was riding on some cheap 90mm frames that someone in our local community lent me, and I'm probably going to end up just upgrading to those anyway, as the overall length is better for me.

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah it may have made a little difference to have wheel in! I didn’t really think of that.
      The slots that stripped never popped or anything either but never behaved the way the middle slots did in the over-torqued demonstration here (they never engaged properly after first wheel change).
      I really like 90s over 80s; length is better for me too and even though higher off ground, I feel more stable and faster than on 80s 😎
      Thanks for the comments!

      @hexagoon395 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@PokeProfWill Yeah, I'm tallish and the boot size I have means the wheels are barely extending in front at all. The 4x90 frame I borrowed had a 1 mm rocker, and felt pretty great

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@hexagoon395 that was same case for me; I ride size 43/44 shell so 80s are just a little short. I ride on Endless 90 frames most often and they have the 1mm rocker. Hard to skate flat after you skated that 1mm banana rocker 😎

      @PokeProfWill  6 месяцев назад +1

      There is one comment here from another skater that had same issue with the Neo 80 frames unfortunately.
      I believe that the frames are made of same metal (FR lists both as “Neo D” frames in 310 or 80; Neo Intuition will have the “Neo C” frames though: not sure how those will be)

    do you know if the fr 100/90 frame fits on the neo? it seems to have a lower ride height than most 165 boots so im wondering if there is enough clearance for the 100/90

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  6 месяцев назад

      I do not know if the 100/90 283mm frame will fit, would surprise me if it didn’t though. If you know how much that 100 wheel sticks up past top of frame (if does at all, looks like it on photos) then I could probably measure them and see if there is clearance 🙂 definitely has lower ride height; there is slight wheel groove in toe of boot to accommodate larger wheels

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  6 месяцев назад

      Also another thing I just thought of: I am riding mine with 246mm 3x110 and there is plenty of heel space and about 2-3mm clearance on toe end (really hard to measure because so close but there is space there). So a 283mm with 100mm at front shouldn’t be an issue theoretically if my 246mm 3x110 fit [barely] 😎

    The thing is that you deforme the frame to continue screwing. It would have been better to test with a wheel, whitch prevent deformation
    The frame still looks soft
    I’ll try Neo dual 1 80
    Interesting test thought
    I’ll try to jamed FR3 frame without a wheel

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  6 месяцев назад +1

      You’re absolutely right about the deformation; I should have put a wheel in there for better test! 😅
      The Neo Dual 1 has a different frame (Neo C vs Neo D on the Neo 2 Duals; the C looks higher quality by just comparing photos 🤞)

      @PokeProfWill  4 месяца назад +1

      @@davidariel1261 Hey thanks for watching and comment! I personally haven’t tried the Neo 1s and don’t know anyone personally that has yet. FR lists the frame as being a Neo C frame with the Neo 1s instead of Neo D frames like the Neo 2s have so hopefully the Neo C frames don’t have the stripping issue 🙂 Neo 1s have upgraded frames, bearings, wheels, Intuition liners, and have metal top buckle (compared to Neo 2s). If I hear of someone trying out the Neo 1s I’ll let you know!

      Thank you for your information. One more question. In your opinion, if you had to choose a skate, which would you prefer, the F 1 Deluxe Intuition or the Neo Dual 1? Thank you very much.

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  4 месяца назад +2

      @@davidariel1261 I think that I prefer the FR1 Intuitions mainly due to color choices and the fact that the FR1 shell fits my feet better since they are little less wide than the Neo shell. However the dual density shell of the Neo was really nice for trail/urban skates. Another thing is that the Neo will have a slightly lower ride height if that is important to you. Both shells are great IMO. I have the size charts for both models if want to let me know your foot length (and if wide or not) I could tell you which one may fit your foot better and info on the shells (for me FR1 has better shell sizing for my feet than the Neo shells)

Thank you very much again for your help.

    • @PokeProfWill
      @PokeProfWill  4 месяца назад +1

      @@davidariel1261 nice I would recommend either size 44 Neo or size 43.5-44.5 FR1 deluxe for nice tight fit 😎 the hardware on the skate are basically the same: liners, bearings, wheels are great quality on both skates and basically the same. The frame on FR1 rides flat and the frame on Neo 1 is able to skate flat or rockered. Both are great skates 😁
