      @@gottenport7219 thanks!! I switched from the stock FR1 4D frames to Endless 80s after about a month on my FR1s: they are insanely fun compared to the flat 243mm frames IMO with the extra maneuverability. It took a couple of sessions for me to get used to a rockered set up but now I skate rockered frames always (unless in a tri-skate) because they allow me to flow better 🙂 I use my Endless 80s for mainly parking lots or courts, Endless 90s for the trails and urban, Arc CS for rinks, and Arc for wizard skating (which I have used the least out of the 4 😅) If your foot is large the Endless 90s might be a better option than the 80s but they are both super solid frames and I would feel comfortable using either for urban/freestyle (80s little more maneuverable and 90s little more stable for jumps)

I love the opposite direction time at the rink because that is when I get to work on my weaker side (and also I spin clockwise so can do stuff around turn I normally can’t counterclockwise direction). Same at our rink, some people refuse. The rink in Arvada Colorado, I visited, apologized to everyone when they changed the direction 🤣 I think definitely a common thing for rink skaters to favor the natural direction due to strong vs weak sides. @@jakishtra I doubt it as I believe the Neo1 may have different metal (not 100% sure on that) but they are called Neo C frames instead of Neo D like on the Neo2. Inercia skate shop lists them being available “approximate June-July 2024” so if that is true they may be released very soon 👀

      I am using an Insta360 X4 here so there is a camera on end of a selfie stick that is in my right hand (the camera software makes selfie stick invisible though 😎) When I spin, the camera spins with me as well 🙂

    What bothers me about buying skates is the impossibility of seeing them in person + the difference in liners & lasts can make a huge difference in skate fit and performance. I was recently given a pair of Tau's and they fit wonderfully - 2 sizes above my original fit. Franky Morales 2 - 40 - Way too tight Hardcore Evo - 40 - Somewhat Undersized + Had to heat mold for fit Aeons - 40 - Fits with Second Skin / Intuition Liners Next - 40 - Too big CL 15 (Iqon's wider Powerslide Next) - 40 - Fits okay Tau - 42 - Best fit It has taken years of buying skates and trying on others skates to come to an understanding about skate sizing charts: You'll never know unless you purchase them.

      Absolutely: it is almost impossible without just trying them on! I really wish that I had a place to try on skates around here in my area. Interesting about the Tau fitting best at larger size; I have a buddy with Taus and he also upsized his from his normal size but says they feel amazing!

      That blows! Sorry to hear that but thanks for sharing your experience here! Hopefully FR will help you out on a warranty: they told me to go through shop bought at if in US but if in EU I believe you contact FR directly

      Hi I'm in the UK I contacted the company I brought the skates from but they just wanted me to send the entire lot back which I don't want to do so I'm hoping if I contact fr directly I can just get a new frame, I brought from slickwillies because they are the only ones that had my size

    • @DrewMtn
      @DrewMtn 3 месяца назад

      Just to update that whilst fr was fantastic in regards to sending me out a new pair of frames quite quickly, the same thing happened again when I went to tighten them up, I have informed them that they clearly are having some quality control issues and it could be quite dangerous for someone who isn't aware of this issue and the wheels coming off mid drive, I didn't ask for another replacement but instead I have put some m6 bolts with washers on with a flange nut on the other side, you could also helicoil them if you wanted to just use a single bolt but it would have to be a m6 bolt after helicoilng, I did link fr to your video and they told me that they resolved the issue with you, which I believe ment, they sent you some fr 2 frames which is silly considering the frame length is different and I want 240mm , overall I would say to anyone just pass up on these, these are to replace my fr1 skates but I wouldn't bother to anyone thinking about it , too much hassle

      @@DrewMtn man that is crazy! I really hope they address this issue as more people are reporting. I agree about the safety aspect being a serious issue for them (and us); I crashed when a wheel flew off but luckily didn’t take any injuries there other than bruise/scrape. As far as FR resolving the issue with me, I guess could say it was resolved by giving me a pair of R2 frames (I specifically requested them to send me something other than the Neo D frames since I had issues twice already with the Neo Ds). Thanks a bunch for keeping posted on your experience with the skates! The ride height and dual density shell is super nice but pretty risky with the frame quality it seems unfortunately

    Have u in any way shape of form using science to get out of crappy situations or ease ur experience while skating?? I was just talkn to my friend the other day "theres this Professor guy in the youtube who do inline skate" U're so cool bro

      I used to teach physics labs during graduate school and physics comes into play a ton when skating! Notably when spinning there is a lot of factors that dictate the tightness and speed of the spin and I try to think about those things while spinning (if tuck in arms will spin faster for example; position of feet/heels/toes dictates tightness and if going to precess or not 🤓). Another thing that I like to do is “convert linear energy into rotational energy to stop” so less sliding and more spins to save my wheels to last longer lol When cleaning my bearings I use two different solvents (whereas most folks use only one) to clean them extra extra well. As chemist, I know properties of both the solvents I use (Sonic cleaner and acetone) and they both work in different ways to clean certain things that get into bearings. These are a few examples! Thanks for watching/commenting and asking about science! I appreciate it! 😎

    How do you not have any wind sounds? I know you said did the noise reduction but I don’t hear any wind at all 😮

      I was also shocked by how little wind feedback the DJI 2 picks up! That day was moderate wind for my city; I will also do a test on a super windy day, but the DJI seems to be super upgrade on blocking unwanted wind feedback so far! I am using the mic with the dead cat that comes with it as well. Thanks for feedback!! 😎 I’m pretty happy with the sound quality; just takes a little extra work to integrate audio into video but after first time figuring out it is relatively easy after

    Also bought a size 42 and then went for a size 40. Everything is way better now. The sound is def better with the noise reduction ON.
