Hi Luke,
You and lwan are such good friends you will have to have him over to your house once it's presentable for a happy housewarming party. ( Register at a department store for needed items) and let your guests know that you are registered! It could be great fun! Thank you for your wonderful videos! I loved the jazz music at the last part.
Very nice touch!
Your pizza looked scrumptious! 😋👌💫♥️🌟
The large tree will have large rootss and when they slowly rot, they will no longer give support to the ground and so be prepared to find a big hole some day in the future! Fill in with more soil and plant grass seed on top. This was my experience. So, good luck ☘️ Your friend in Kansas City Tom ❤️🇺🇲❤️🇬🇧
Only people with lots of money can do things quickly, which makes the rest of us who have to wait and save up feel bad that we can't, so it's great to see a realistic experience of renovating and decorating!❤❤❤
Luke take a picture of the plant you don’t know the name of then open in your gallery, swipe up on the picture and it will say plant , tap on the word plant and it will tell you what it is 😊. I love this iPhone function, I take pictures of loads of plants/flowers to find out what they are ❤ xjx
Hi Luke!
All of the plants in your garden would do better if you were to place mulch on the ground around them. Especially the fern! Mulch would keep the soil moist for a longer time than leaving it uncovered. And you wouldn't have to worry about grass and weeds in the garden. Very useful stuff, mulch.
If there's a wall switch to control the bookshelf lights,
go to a home shop and buy a
dimmer switch to control the brightness of the lights. Much better than changing all of the lights and more cost effective for you.
Oh Luke. When you mentioned about sponsorship and saying you realise some don't have much money. Honestly you made my eyes water up. You are so sensitive for a young man.. I am so proud of you as a person. Blessings. Bx
You need to remove the shoots at the base of your bay tree. Unfortunately they’re superfluous and will take energy from the rest of the plant.
Ahh that’s a great tip! Thank you❤
Luke you could pop the shoots in water to start rooting and start another couple bushes or if they have roots when you pull them pot them directly Lizzie
My eldest daughter rented just outside of London until she was left an inheritance, she then bought her own property in Hereford. She had never been interested in gardening until then. Now she is forever out in the gardens and now landscaping it also. It makes a huge difference when it is yours. She paid outright for her property due to getting her inheritance. She only works part time as a chef now too. Well, she is 53 now so..👍
Just so you know, the fern planted by the conifer is not frost hardy so if it thrives during summer you will have to repot it and bring it back indoors at the end of September if you want to keep it.
Having outdoor space and quiet time makes all the difference to your overall health. You’re both reaping the rewards of all your work x
Zara you will do amazing running a half marathon ❤ xx 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
The garden is my happy place. I have had a bad few years with health issues in the family. But having a garden to go in really helps with my mental health. Happy gardening. 😺 X
Hi Luke I do feel your borders should be wider but can I suggest that you should look at the mature size of the plants that you have planted. You have plants quite close to each other that grow extremely wide.
Yes you and Zara need to watch The Money Pit, it’s funny and so classic! Xx
Thank you Zara. Well done for choosing a good cause. My son had prostrate cancer this year. He had it removed. And is age fifty. There’s so much more awareness needed for young men as well to get checked. So many thanks. You can.do it. Much love to you both Maureen norfolk xxxxx
I love those lights ❤, all these hiccups are a life learning.
Zara you got this, just remember a year ago you didn't run at all, go girl ❤
Im with you on barely drinking - helps so much with mental health
Zara, you will do amazing at the half marathon. I have just had prostate surgery myself so I applaud you for what you are doing. Xx
Hello, I just wanted to help with the plant, the plant you asked about is called canna, it looks very tropical and has beautiful flowers of different colors.
I hope i helped have a nice day 😃
Dear Luke, thank you so much, you are such a lovely young man, you bring so much joy to my day! I have added a little donation for Zara’s fundraising for prostate cancer. A cause close to my heart.
Hi Luke if you have an iPhone take a photo of any plant and view it in your photo library, tap on the photo as if you were sending it and tap the info circle with the i in next to recycle bin, then you can tap on look up plant at the top. Enjoying seeing the progress of your beautiful home and garden. Love your vlogs
Having to pay builders, electrician, is not cheap so yes, it takes time having to save for each thing that needs sorted. You have both achieved so much within a short time so be proud of that Luke. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I can't believe how much you have done and changed. Every little thing (cost) soon mounts up. I still have some big jobs that I would like done after 23 years but just find the funds to do them. Well done Zara for doing the half marathon, you'll do it. Have a good Sunday x
Are you planning on putting bark on your borders to suppress weeds? If will also stop the soil being splattered on your fencing when it rains and also retain moisture.
The unidentified leaves in the pot look like some type of lilly.
Your garden is looking lovely. It's a joy when you can see new leaves. I love having pots of herbs readily available. It's a good idea to have a pot on the go and one growing to use while the current one is resting.
I love summer too because of the long days. You can sit outside way into the night - if you're lucky.
The lights are stunning.
Bark is a great idea! I didn’t think of that - I’ll get some thank you!!❤️
Maggie climbing the stairs in the background was the sweetest. ❤
Like, I am at the beginning of this week's video but I wanted to let you know that I have had an offer accepted on a house on Monday (after 3 years of saving and looking) I am over the moon. I was watching your videos when you and Zara started house hunting as I was in the same position, and now, hopefully, I am on my journey to being a home owner and I can enjoy watching these types of videos again as it was tough to watch when nothing was happening for myself. Keep up all the great vlogs❤
Oh my goodness that is so exciting! Huge congratulations to you❤
You need to make life much easier for yourselves by covering your flooring with Self Adhesive film; it comes on a roll, sticks to carpet, wood/laminate/tile flooring, it’s strong (if you buy a professional one) then when the job is done, it’s easy to take up and dispose of. Your garden is so inviting. Home renovations take alot of money, time and energy but well worth it. Well done Zara for signing up to the half marathon, you’ll smash it…. What a duo. Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🫶🏻❤️
Great advice!
Ahh we did think about getting some of this but we’re sanding the floor in the living room❤️ thank you for Zara’s well wishes, she’s really excited x
Love how even after a week everything is coming together, cannot wait for the painting to start
Welcome to property ownership.🤗The repairs and updates are never ending but it’s all worth it. You r upgrading your property value while enjoying it all. Enjoying your journey.❤🤭
Luke throw some dishwater on the plants it gets rid of bugs without using chemicals x
You can do the half marathon ZARA you & your friend are stars , you both are amazing & just remember to have fun 👍🏼🥇🥇
I loved the original Habitat… it was my go to constantly over the years. We got our first house in 1985 and I was always in Habitat in Newcastle… or York or London. I still miss it. ❤
I'm sure Zara will do great at the half marathon. The garden looks so beautiful, I wish I had one. I just love plants and gardening. The ceiling lights are looking great too. I wasn't sure about them, but now that they are hanging I've changed my mind, they look fantastic. The library lights are also perfect. I love books and book spaces so that nook is going to be sure a cozy place.
I am sure interested in any London tourism you can take us along with you. Have a great Sunday you three!
Your home and yard looks more spectacular every week. Check into plants that can put in your garden that keep bugs away. Then plant them around the others. I know Marigolds help. Also the small plastic windmills on a stick work well. I think the movement scares them off. Great video, thank you.
Nasturtiums and garlic is good too and rosemary and lavender and mint
A garden is a great joy. Even a tiny one! Even a window box!🌷🌼🌻🥀
Thanks for the vlog Luke really enjoyed as always
Great to see more progress in your lovely home and nice to see you back with Mr C having fun 😃
Also to Zara you’ll smash the half marathon you go girl! And for such a good cause 💙 hope you’re both having a lovely week lotsa love x x
I enjoy the reno process in stages as it's more realistic than one video of before and after. It's good to see the whole process. Zara will do amazingly at the half marathon. ❤
I so glued to your flog .zara you'll be amazing at your run .And with luke by your side you will reach your goal .House's are for ever evolving. So far your home is starting too come together.
What a lovely view from the Thames. seeing the land from it from the waters makes it more magical ..have a fantastic week both off you xxx
I believe the plant in the pot is called a canna. It is a lily, really pretty flowers.
Enjoy your summer-here in Austin, Tex we are starting our 90’s and triple digit weather-basically an oven through the end of August!
Lights are gorgeous and well done you on your kayaking along the Thames 😊
Luck try and get coffee grinds from a coffee shop and use it as a mulch around the garden and in the pots, it keeps weeds down, keeps sails away, and holds water in. I've been using it for years, and even over winter, there's not a weed in sight. Also, cats don't like it. I've tryed everything over the years, the only thing that works is that it's free.
Hi Luke, you can google what the plant if you go on google and press the camera and it will tell you what anything is. I find it useful. The house is coming along nicely
Good luck with the half marathon Zara
Yes, I get the gardening thing too. When I was househunting I said to my mother that I didn't want a big garden, just somewhere to sit and she told me that I definitely needed a garden. How right she was! I am still amazed and flattered when things grow. I still get overwhelmed by all the gardening tasks like mowing, weeding and cutting back stuff but then I find myself having early morning or later evening time outdoors and it's the best! Enjoy xx
You've achieved so much in a short space of time. Everything is taking shape beautifully. I've not been to London & would love to see some of the recommended places of interest. I'm sure you'll be just fine Zara for completing the half marathon. Your positivity & strength shines through. Have a great week ahead. Lots of love ❤x
Hi Luke. I loved your video as always. Your house is really coming on and just take your time with getting things done. I would love to see a video of the queens house and gilded hall. Well done to Zara doing a half marathon. Loved seeing little Maggie her face is so cute. 🥰. Your video really cheered me up as summer is most definitely not here in Scotland and it really affects my mental health as it just seems to be rain every day and cold I’ve still got my electric blanket on at nights 😂. Have a lovely day ❤️
I am sure you took us into Greenwich Naval chapel which i really really enjoyed. It was a while back and i would love you to visit it again. Although I am in my seventies i love to watch both you and Ians videos so thank you for your life peeks xx
Great vlog this week Luke - loved it! I thought you and Mr C were very brave on the Thames ha ha! Your home is coming along so nicely - love your decor choices. I so look forward to Sundays vlog to update. Take care - love to you Zara and Maggie x
Sitting in your garden having breakfast! Love that! 👍👍👍👍👍😀
Zara I’m excited for your half marathon and know you and your friend will do a great job.
Luke no worries on how your home looks, anyone who’s done Reno at home knows what it’s like. It will all come together in time.
The lights look amazing and that crown in the ceiling is beautiful.
Well done to you and Iwan for the canoe trip. Eleven miles is a lot to do especially for you both being novices.
Love your garden, everyone needs a quiet space to relax. When you ave afford to, think about a water fountain that will bring birds into the garden. They are a wonderful feature and since you get more sun they do have solar powered ones.
Love to you both. Your pasta meal looked amazing. 🤗😘🌹🌻🌸🌺
Sorry Luke just wanted to say if you wait until next year for more plants because if you go on last day of chelsea flower show think its 3'oclock they sell plants off really cheap that had display from tent areas
I really like that you are taking us along on the journey, showing us the ups & downs of the process. Personal I would rather watch this way, than fancy before & afters and no middle ! I have the "picture this" App which I find really useful to ID plants, it also tells you how the plant is doing & what it might need if in poor condition 🪴🥰 The garden is looking great & how lovely is to be able to hang your washing on the line 😃 Zara you will smash the half marathon & remember we are all behind you 🤗
Gravel in the Botton of the bay tree pot will keep it clean and water will drain from the bay tree pot.
Can't believe you are eating your breakfast in the garden, what a lovely space.you and Zara are doing so well, enjoy your weekend. ❤❤
You are by far my favourite utuber. Your content is always so genuine and you always care about your audience. I even sit through your sponsorships.
Thank you Zara for doing the half marathon for prostate cancer. I lost my husband to this cruel disease just before Christmas,.
Sorry to hear x
So sorry to hear that Lily. Sending you so much love❤
That was great seeing the Thames close up like that.. I really want to see you & Iwan do a vid visiting The Whispering Gallery in St Pauls. Seeing around London is great.. it's about 10 years since i was there for a weekend.
so jealous you have a garden!!
You know its been a long day when you see Maggie taking herself off to bed upstairs 😂
Great video luke 💙the house is coming on great 👏hello Zara ❤ and Maggie 🐶
Loving the lights! In keeping with the age of the house. Perfect! 👍👍👍👍👍😃
My Nana had those lights, the ones in the sitting room. They were in her hallway if I remember correctly. But that was in the 60's and she was old then so she'd probably had them since the 40's. They do make me nostalgic
I thought your new cup was blood splatter 😂😂😂. The unidentified plant looks like a bird of paradise but its hard to tell on camera ❤
Great video Luke love how the house is coming along, the garden looks amazing the plants make all the difference to the outdoor space, the spag bol looks nice too. good to see you and Iwan out and about. Love how Zara has deceided to run for the cancer charity. love to you all xxx
Oh the splashing of water😁
The bee in your garden 🐝💗
Great video again ,you work so very very hard on everything you do ,your parents must be so proud of their lovely son , the garden is looking beautiful , you and zara are such credits to our youth ,❤
Your garden is such an oasis...and it's obvious that you are loving it! You're hair looks great at that length! That was brave to kayak for the first time.
Now we got time starting to keep garden neat and it's worth it after
Garden is great- we in 🇨🇦 use mulch or cedar wood chips in the open areas between plants to alleviate the weed issue or unwanted plants. It’s pretty and fragrant.
Youve come so in a.few months.Your loung etc will look so good by the end of summer.
Good that your doing maintenance to the outside, gutters, windows etc.
Just keep the front of the house tidy and welcoming.
There's nothing worse then an untidy front of house.Wishing you lucky with the rest of your jobs.
Followed you from the start,You have changed and grown up.
Hope Zara gets her say in all the changes?
You are both doing wonders and at such young ages, you should be proud of your many achievement xx
Those lights were very common in the UK from the 20/30s up to the 50’s. Old photos of my high school in Yorkshire have the exact lights in most rooms. I remember family members still having them in bathrooms and hallways in the early seventies!
Great vlog yes Italians are very particular about their cooking - no Hawaian pizza - no spaghetti bolognese! I think it was an English ivention probably because back in the day the only pasta available was spaghetti. In Bologna the ragu sauce is the key element combination of meats and tomatoes with strips of pasta like lasgana pasta! Thanks for your positivity I have a horrible 6 months and now the end of the academic year two weeks later Trieste, then two weeks in the UK and then Bologna! Happy days are on the way!
An absolutely wonderful Vlog as always, Sundays are much better, you are so inspirational, you are making your house a home, love little Maggie in the garden so wonderful to see, thank you for sharing another wonderful Vlog.
I hope you grow baby tomatoes, squash, coriander, basil, chives & green onion. Great for salads!
PS looove the charcoal fence! Classy.
Your lights are looking amazing. It's all taking shape now and I'm looking forward to seeing the paint go on the walls as I'm at that stage now.
I liked that you caught that sailing boat going under Tower Bridge. I’ve never seen the bridge raised when I’ve been there.
I too am affected by the weather I always say I’m solar powered I have energy and the zest for life in the summer months….. you’re both cracking on with the renovations at a lick soon be watching the big reveal of the two rooms… looking forward to that… well done Zara doing her half she’ll smash it x
You are doing such a great job with your home! Love watching you! If you used black mulch in your flower beds it would help keep out weeds and make you plants pop! Give it a finished look! Have a great one!
You guys are such lovely people. It is a joy to watch you and to see how excited you are with your garden and home updates. You have worked so hard and everything positive is well deserved. Zara I have no doubt you will do great on your run!
I think the plant in the pot that you asked about is probably Lilly of the Valley. If it is -it will like partial shade and will come back every year. So if you keep it in the pot its in, you need to remember that its in there as it will die back completely to nothing over the winter. The flowers are a creamy white and come in the summer, the scent is gorgeous! They look a little bit like blue bells - only white. The plant with the variagated leaf is Weigella (pronounced whygeelia) - it will grow into a good sized bush or can be kept small with pruning (which it doesn't seem to mind) in the early summer, once established it will get lovely pale pink flowers...very pretty. Loving the renovations and good luck to Zara witht the half marathon.
Fantastic weather for you , you both look like super mario ha ha just need red hats , the hall id love to see inside so please do a vlog , them lights look fantastic, i can remember light and roses when i use to go to a manor house as a child when my mum cleaned there i use to get to ring a bell in garden for the gardener to come for is lunch , i love that house im 64 now use to get to go on horses , i was led round , they use to have race horses, my mum had to polish all the winners trophy's , them were the days ha ha , well your house looks fab well done both if you 👍👊👏 take care aww love to maggie also , 😘x please plan the hall vlog , 👍x
Love seeing what you've done in the garden. You've worked wonders.
Just wanted to share that you are one of my favorite to watch on RUclips! You know you reach so many people all over the world and to give you some reference I watch you in my living room in the US Little Rock Arkansas! Keep being you!
Happy Sunday Luke, Zara, Maggie and Iwan! So that was the wet and wild adventure Mr C talked about lol wow it looked cool to do but a bit scary too.
The garden looks amazing. I'm one of those people who lives for summer and gardening. Just seeing all the new life brings me great joy. I feel like in Quebec the seasons can be quite short, especially coming out of the winter. When summer growing season starts I'm out there every moment I can. Definitely good for my mental health!
The house is coming along 😃Looking forward, as you both are, to seeing what the rooms look like with some paint on the walls. You're both doing a great job. Bravo for all you are doing in your first home. You really are inspiring. Have a great rest of the day. Oh and Zara running a half marathon 🥳 every confidence she will be able to do it!!!
that plant in question at 6:26 might be a peace lilly or possibly a birds of paradise both are very beautiful plants when in bloom ☺️👍🏻Enjoy the progress you are making too
Your mystery plant looks like a canna - keep somewhere sheltered in the winter as it probably won't survive the frost. If you want to keep your bay tree as a standard (like a lollipop) you need to cut those new shoots off - sorry! Otherwise it will turm back into a big bushy shrub. It has been trained into that shape by the nursery by cutting off any shoots that appear from below the main canopy. Your cherry laurel will grow Very Big and may swamp the other plants and push the fence over. I had one that was 30' tall and the tree surgeon said 70% of his work was shrubs that had got out of control, Don't want to be negative but it's best to move it now before the roots get too deep. Well done Zara on your marathon committment. Good luck with your training - at least you have a PT on tap!
Fabulous content. Never boring!
“give it a lot of thought” 😂. omg - good job boys! The house is coming along beautifully- so happy for you both.
I always enjoy seeing all the progress you are making on your beautiful Victorian home, but I also love when you are out and about in Merry old England on adventures. I love to see the sights and congratulations on your kayaking adventure with Mr. C! You guys are very adventurous but always so much fun to watch, thanks Luke for everything you do 😃 you make my day!
U both did well on the themes. Well done to Lora for running for cancer in October. Your house is Comeing on very well. Love the lighting. It will look Amazing when it's finished. U will be all cosy come Xmas. X
The lights look amazing. You have both come a long way with the house. Take some time out and enjoy all your hard work. Zara you will be awesome at the half marathon. Just keep putting the work in. ❤ xx
Lovely Sunday relax this has become my weekly highlight
Amazing to see the house improvements 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼love it.

Yes I would love to see any of the King house.
I agree gardening helps your mental health & is so rewarding. Watching your plants grow & flower is so exciting..
Good luck with the half marathon Zara. You will smash it!
My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2016, he was only 56yrs old.. He had surgery & is doing really well now.
I also donate to Great Ormond Street children’s hospital.. 2 great causes, well done to both of you..🎉❤🪴🐝🌼
Good luck with the half marathon Zara! 🍀 You got it girl. Nice vlog Luke! 🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hi Luke , Zara & Maggie, your garden is looking so good , gardening for me is so good for y mind & very therapeutic . Zara you can do that half marathon & such a good cause . Living the dream like you say Luke . Take Care ❤ X X
Hi Luke, if you put some mulch in your garden beds it will help with weed control and it gives the beds a nice finished look. Garden is looking great.
