This is awesome why am i enjoying it this much. Seeing the ladies racing in their own series with fierce competition from all over the world is such a breath of fresh air to the sport. So excited to see the battles and to see who is coming to dethrone Anna Carrasco as the women's champ. 18 different countries is the most diversity EVER on a Dorna grid. Not that diversity is key but we're happy it isn't a grid of just Spanish riders. Please post full races of WCR, if you're trying to market this series and get it to be popular than the races must be free for all to watch.
@@richardreddish3712Isn’t it like that in most cup series and series that don’t have a big feeder system and big money? Modern GP is exceptional in how close it is, this is more like how it was decades ago. As this class establishes itself I’d expect to see the pretenders go away and the competition to dramatically tighten. It’s early days.
I think the champion should be allowed a test on the Yamaha WSBK bike. To then see how they get on with the power and see if they can join the WSBK grid 😎
Mate, if they created a championship for women, it's obvious that it is because it's impossible for them to compete even on the lowest categories like SuperSport300. If they could they would be there, but we don't have a single woman capable of doing it, so they needed to create a space just for them, like in other sports. Even the lowest rated SS300 rider will be better than the champion of this, and you think they could jump into WSBK?
@@jaguatiricaimediata5305Well, Ana carrasco (interviewed in this video) was actually SS300 world champ back in 2018! but I agree a move into WSBK for the winner of this championship would be an uncompetitive one
@@robcaseyire Ana Carrasco is really special, sadly she's the only one. It's like Sophia Floerch, way ahead of all the others. But still both couldn't even dream of competing in any top class.
While i understand the marketing etc behind giving them the 655.... i thought for a sec we were gunna see AC on the 750 r7... but considering this runs alongside WSS... you want a different marketing strat, and with the attention the WWCR is gunna get (neg and pos) Yammy wanted to cash in... and its working... lots of people going over to have a look at the twin r7. As for the racing ... if its as close, and slightly crazy as WSBK atm we all gunna be happy.
and maybe they can upgrade to the 750 later and we can convince Suzuki to bring back the gsx750 to go toe to toe with the yammy..... but now my mind is off dribbling in the ether
So many of you guys commenting seem to be threatened by this, don't be so fast with pointing your finger and accusing these these women of pushing for their own series. I'd be willing to bet an all women's championship offers a unique marketing and financial opportunity for WSBK and the sponsors, which could pique the interest of 50% of the population that currently doesn't give a sh!t about racing. I'm also confident promoting yet another series of men's racing isn't going to bring any press, excitement, or investment like this series will. We're here commenting on this, so they've obviously gotten press and stirred interest. I wish all these women good luck and I hope the series is successful on so many levels. Girls need heroes too.
@@franklinwilkerson2061yeah I mean, I don't know that dele but, for motorcycle racing as long as you're not too heavy, ans have good endurance, all that matters is skill no? We all know taller basketball players have the advantage, but with motorcycles and card what is the limiting factor?? As long as they have good endurance right?
Hopefully allowance, given the series is meant to showcase the under-represented, rather than enforce a strict separation. The only difference between men and women for most motorsport is support and opportunities in a patriarchal world.
I just don't understand. Women always want equality. Okay, with bike racing you have it, so go for it. But then, when that actually exists, they want their own series, segregation. Equestrian is now about the only sport where genuine equality remains.
This is definitely a female sport I'll watch. Could get interesting when they start spraying champagne all over each other on the podium. And, will the crew be patting the riders on the butt just like in every other paddock?
Hmm.. luks gUd sounds gud.. but keep its and women and dont make its as feeling women race.. kindly keep dillon malvaney or lia thomas in this. These women worked hard.. respected and deserved....
Would like to see the lap times vs. Men’s on the same bike….even with the weight difference, the Men should be doing circles around these girls (my guess a 5-second difference per lap)…..what’s next?!…The Isle of Mann for 145+mph average laps?!….don’t think ANY Female would do 130+mph average laps on the Isle…..equal rights right? We’ll bring your “skills” to the Isle Please 🙏…..
Ana Carrasco won the 2018 World Supersport 300 and almost all the other riders were men, so I don't know what you're talking about. 5 seconds a lap? That's just outlandish

Really looking forward to this championship.

Totally willing to hold an umbrella on the starting grid for one of these ladies. (shirtless of course) 💪
You could be a Brella Fella! (Opposite to Brolly Dolly)

そうですよね。もしも WSBKチームが無理でも、ヤマハの欧州サポートWSSPチームでテストできるとかのメリットがあってもいいと思います。

Very cool to see! Thank you

Truly awesome! Go, girls, go!
It’s about time!!!
Girls good job, 1:41 with such a small bike is a very good laptime 👍
Thats the lap record time on a SS300.......so no, its not a good time. Its the time that a good trackday rider with a dayjob and a family would do.

I disagree, Ana Carrasco will dominate 😊
I wish Maria Herrera was part of the championship
Is she participating?
Ana Carrasco will dominate hands down, since she's been riding & fighting with men in her earlier championships.
I agree. But, she isn't participating in this, right?
