Honestly, I love this type of content. The whole Mission Based DCS Video, and I'm thankful you're doing it because honestly one of the best creators for games requiring some level of Tactical prowess. Big ups Pairs.
Same bro! Love this channel as well as growling sidewinder and Longshot. Both incredible dcs content creators and the videos are phenomenal and with great editing and cinematics
You got some pretty nice shots for this video. DCS has a ton of camera options and once you get the hang of them you can get some really good visuals. Its a shame their replay system isn't easier to use but their most recent newsletter said they are working on changing that to make it more user friendly
Thanks! I don't spend a ton of time on the cinematic stuff, but I do enjoy it. Will try to do some sort of cinematic sequence throughout this series. I saw the same in the newsletter. Really hoping that improved track files fixes the issues that exist and hopefully we score better camera UI in the process.
@ControlledPairsGaming they've added some new camera effects over the past year, most recently the GoPro style camera that stays in the same position when you switch back to it. The F6 views make for some cool shots that follow the munitions. Off the top of my head, I believe it's LAlt+F6 that follows the weapon to the target. Some of the missions and campaigns don't allow external views though which can be a bummer for content creation
Great video :D It seems you've slightly misunderstood how the CCIP pipper works in the Hornet, I recommend a quick refresher in Chucks guide :) Also, that landing was perfect, well within specs for the Hornet. The Airforce use the entire runway, the Navy use the entire shock absorber ;)
I had a feeling you were deployed at some point; your knowledge and analytical speech shows! I was impressed with the level of detail you show and It makes great content for your videos!
Great vid, dude! As everyone else has told you, your explaining the actions you're taking as you're taking them and why you're taking them is fucking awesome for us noobs around here. Can't wait for the next episode!
As a young guy, I played so many games and missions around other military operations. I'm someone who was enlisted and in the region for the entirety of OIR (intel no crazy stuff), it is kinda surreal to see missions based around it. OIR wasn't special, but it feels strange considering I witnessed it.
Another great upload. Love your insights into what you do and why you do it. Be it in DCS, RoN or VTOL VR. Speaking of it: can’t wait for more VTOL VR content. Would love another in depth commentary. Keep it up!
This couldn’t be better timing. I am just now getting into DCS and I decided my first jet would be the F18 for its versatility. Man is it overwhelming to get into!
This has nothing to do with this video, but did you know that TAVR has a new public beta with a new map and more character customization, and canted sights?

Same. I am always looking for full mission videos.

For sure. I used a bunch of different camera/tools for the next episode. Should come out in a few days.
Hecking sick. Can't beat another Pairs video. The way you explain your actions makes it incredibly easy to learn.
Great video :D

I think on my CCIP runs I was just out of parameters and didn't let the piper fully appear in the HUD because I was too low/fast, yeah?
@@ControlledPairsGamingYeah, it was telling you "Impact point is to far below to show on HUD". Dive steeper and you'll be golden :)

Dim the HUD man! You don’t want it to obscure anything behind it, max brightness HUDs will hide your targets

I think Controlled would have a blast with the Raven One Campaigns. Detailed breifs realistic everything and an interesting narrative to boot.

Nice job on the video, lovely shots and really shows off DCS graphics

Nice timing for that title!
Dang i just checked and dcs is free on steam i can't believe it (:

Definitely prefer co-op videos for this game. Has your flight tried Olympus yet?
I may have started to learn the F18 last week.. let’s see how this goes
Let's goooo!
Happy to get some training flights in with you whenever, dude.
