- Egg Fishing Sinkers Weights, In This Video We'll Be Pouring Lead Sinkers [Weights] Using A Lee Pot And A do-it Mold. The Lead I'm Using Came Off An Roof [Sheet Lead]. We'll Be Pouring 3,4, and 5 ounce Egg Sinkers.
I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a ruclips.net/user/postUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.
I get lead cheap and it's handier to make them when you need them. Thanks for Watching
Great video! I (Stephanie) grew up with my step-dad making his own lead. He got into when he was making his own shrimp nets. He used propane, I believe, like you mentioned. It would have been back in early/mid 90s. He actually taught Oliver's older brother, David, to do it too!! Probably the same type of lead pot, in the 70's I poured lead for the Party Boats (Head Boats) in Atlantic City N.J. Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas.

When I lived in Michigan I Use to sit for hours casting lead bullets to reload during the nasty winter days.

I pour my own sputnik style weights for surf fishing. I save quite a bit. I get most of my lead from local roofers. They usually will give me a bucket of it in trade for some completed sinkers

I got that one from eBay, the cast iron ones I bought from Point Pleasant Hardware in New Jersey 60 years ago. Thanks for Watching our videos
Where can I buy that mould at?
You can buy them on eBay, Amazon and bass pro, it's a Do-it mould you can sometimes get a cast iron mould on eBay and on eBay you might get lucky and find a used one, make sure it has the pin with it for the hole in the center. Don't forget to grease the pin so it comes out easier. Thanks a lot for Watching
