I have the Note 9... Can confirm that it can last you a full day no worries. I forgot my charger once in University and I ended the 14 hour day with approx. 40% left on the battery. The One UI is probably the best phone experience I've ever used.

For sure. Uses about 2-4 percent on a 2hr movie with low brightness. But 4-6hrs most, MOST if you're gaming. Overheats too.

Peter Ambrose problem is, Android is an operating system that has to be compatible across a lot more styles of processors and software, while apple is running a closed ecosystem. Anyone can make a Android phone, only Apple can make a iOS phone and purely based on that iOS will always be more efficient. I prefer Android for it's versatility but the upside is also the downside in this case

You should try comparing the snapdragon 855 to Exynos 9820 and see how different there battery is!
One will be better than another, but with a small margin. Because ARM CPU are not created equal, they havr something called "binning". The bigger the number, the better is cpu in terms of battery life. A small number will increase the voltage through CPU and battery will decrease faster. Check xda for a better explanation.
I think Exynos will win because it's samsung chipset which is better optimise with samsung phones

@@iiiii42 He said he set them all the to exact same brightness relative to each other, so that wasn't it. The XS screen just looked a lot more consistent and less grainy than the other phones. This makes sense though because it costs about $200 more than the s10, so it's an extremely premium phone

OnePlus 6T really sucked on this test, although lasted a little bit longer than the XS max, it has 600mah more.

Every video I watch, I get even more happy that I pre-ordered the Galaxy S10+! I sprung for the 500gb model versus the 1tb. I don't think I could ever fill up the 1tb model.
I'm pretty disappointed with the expected 6-8 weeks delivery time for the galaxy buds that are free with the pre-order of the S10+. I could totally understand anywhere from 2-4 weeks but 2 months is ridiculous! I was looking forward to using them at the gym, but I'll have to use the wired ones for now.
Thank you for the comprehensive comparison! Battery life isn't the #1 factor for me because I'm always near a charger, but knowing the battery life is so great with the S10+ is very re-assuring, especially when I'm on an off-road adventure.

S10 and Note 9, for me, best designed Samsung phones. They just look so perfectly cut and awesome.
This years' Exynos 9820 fixed last years' Exynos 9810 efficiency problems in terms of battery life.
Battery efficiency problem? Note 9 perform almost same as Mate 20 pro only behind 6% despite 200mah lesser battery and 10nm chipset.

Samsung improved the display, battery life, hardware and camera and still kept stereo speakers, IP68 rating and the 3.5mm headphone jack !!
Apple, on the other hand, didn't do shit with design, got a lower IP67 rating (68 ONLY on the newest iPhones), same resolution with same gigantic bezels and stereo speakers but still termed removing the 3.5mm jack as courage in iPhone 7 !! How the bloody hell people don't see that.

iphone display is still rated better by displaymate, the iphone is ip68 and not 67, the iphone doesnt have an ugly ass chin and a bigger display and nobody needs a headphone jack in 2019. Great video, but i think this is more of a laboratory test that shows us the phones potential but real life is much different so if you don't mind i have two suggestions to get more true to life results: 1. leave the screens on auto brightness since most people will use them like that all the time and 2. you can try leaving the phones on standby a few hours and maybe with the screen on some time.

It is a note 9 with under 10 charging cycles. So it is as good as new.

It's so stupid to praise Apple for it's battery efficiency when all that matters is which mobile lasts the longest. Bigger battery or smaller one, if I pay over a 1000 bucks I want my phone to have the best battery and not be the 5th best!

By far, this is the most reasonable and accurate battery drain test I ever watch. No one gonna use their smartphone to full brightness all day long.
