Its crazy how it feels like walking through a destroyed land. A kingdom lost to the powers and struggles of a war now over. Its reminds me of late nights playing the DS and just feeling like I just walked through a finished warzone. Just a hostile takeover where everything is gone and only the victor runs the spoils. I would imagine the feeling of a simple citizen, walking around the kingdom to find that everything is gone. How they suddenly realize that those who guard the doors and entrances are not toads. How you could walk and hide around corners seeing the patrols of the cube spitting guys, hypnotized minions, and so many more. It felt like everything around you was lost. I dunno, I was an imaginative kid, I sure as hell liked to imagine myself in these scenarios. Love this game, thank you.
This is absolutely incredible! Perfectly captures the foreboding feeling of the game's final area. This song is so unexpectedly intimidating for a Mario game.
I always liked the detail that Peach's castle suffers a progressive destruction throughout the game. In the beginning, Bowser damages the meeting room by destroying the table, then burns the projector screen, and then Peach sends him into the air, making a hole in the ceiling. Much later in the game, when the castle gets claimed by Fawful, this destruction is still visible. And then you fight the entire castle, which leaves a huge crack on the ground.
Which is somewhat fitting considering the forest maze was you following geno (a star) to well.. find a star. Meanwhile in Peach's Castle, you're using the help of starlow to get to the dark star. Some interesting parallels to draw.
I love this track from Bowser's Inside Story almost as much as In the Final/The Grand Finale. It's great to listen to when falling asleep. This mix turned out amazing and is definitely one of my favorite renditions of this theme.
I love this track for the simple reason that Cackletta's theme from the first M&L is forefront as this was her true aim and her student is the one that realized it.
Great arrangement! Gotta love those signature runs, and the little tremolo swells are a cool idea as well! The brass sounds a little dry for my taste, but depending on the library you used for it, there might not be a whole lot you could do about that of course. Additionally, there's some notes in there that sound slightly off to me, but that could just be me.

This was an awesome remake of such a good song. I love how it has a bleak but fantastical feeling. In the ramaster of the game I love how peaches castle doesn't look abandoned on the inside. Completely reconstructed from the inside out. It shows for as goofy as weird as fawful comes across, there's a sinister genius with an oddly good taste in architecture.
shit,. that gave me the chills! The Mario & Luigi franchise was a huge part of my childhood, and the soundtrack was always something that latched into my memory the hardest! I do have a funny musical memory for games, the better the game, the more I can remember specific songs.
randomly decided to see if someone made some bowser’s inside story orchestrations and you did not disappoint like holy shit this is my favorite song from the game but so much better here

Now that I listen to this more, I’m noticing it has note patterns from Forest Maze in it.
