I went through all the settings several times and nothing changed except (Resetting all Settings) described in #10 and it worked like a charm for my iPhone 11! Easy, and fast! Now I can hear a normal conversation without using speaker phone. Thanks!

Who is designing these complicated, complicated features nobody needs while removing the whole purpose of a phone call: to hear the person who is calling. You are amazing for sharing! Thank you!

For me the hearing aid activation worked but the sound is still at a low volume like 30-40% from the normal volume. With hearing aid disabled i hear nothing. Will try all te rest if the solutions, it seems to be a software problem. Thank you!!

My iPhone 7 top speaker doesn’t work with music or any videos except for calls is that normal because I hear the tiniest buzz from it like it wants to play music but it can’t also looked like it has a indent like say a ramp on both side and the bottom speaker puts out more sound on call then the top

Take a few pieces of tape and work them into the grove where the speaker is located for a few seconds. Then pull the tape off slowly and that will pull out most lint and debris that generally block the tiny holes that let the sound out. I had the same problem and after a few times everything came out and my sound was back to normal
Nothing worked for me, its so frustrating! I can make and receive a call but there's no sound until i press speaker then i can hear perfectly fine, but once you press speaker again no sound. It'll also work if i connect to my earphones. What do you think the issue is 🤔

None of these options work. Everyone on RUclips is posting the same suggestions. Sure, we can turn on speaker phone and hear the call but Apple refuses to acknowledge a problem with the earpiece speaker having extremely low volume after an update despite that on their own website over 3300 people have posted this same issue. It's not a hardware issue.
i find its alot easier to clean the power port by hold the phone with the back facing you, as this makes it so the pins are facing upwards, and while cleaning, it prevents from accidentally damaging those pins. just something i do all the time.

Excellent video, my problem was solved by changing audio routing to speaker. Close to a dozen videos I watched earlier did not suggest this solution.
