FUN FACTS FOR KAN: -you can change what car you are looking at by clicking the up & down arrow keys -while focused on a car, you can automatically Load & Unload it by clicking Space to load & Enter to unload without ever needing to get out of your train. (At the appropriate stations & depots)
@@johnmonteith2585 I actually experimented with that & couldn’t notice enough of a difference to say for certain. But if you are, then that is good enough. I do remember it lowering your torque though.
This would be most fun if playing railroads online/derail valley in vr(with video overlay), operating manually, while being handed drinks every time he says it, while also having videos on some random play so his videos pop up intermittently. Giving being pissed drunk a new meaning.
Yeah, Hyce almost definitely won't join. But it would be cool if kAN found another youtuber with a similar track building style to kAN's style (or at least compatible).
Hyce won't do it. He kinda can't in a way since his game will be a direct competitor and he has some colorful "history" with the lead dev. I do miss it tho.
I'd like to see such a thing but yeah..... it's basically 99% unlikely to happen, if Hyce ever "officially" returns to RRO, it would have to be after Century of Steam's Conflict of Interest ends
KAN you pronunciation of Mesa is killing me! Just to be sure I wasn't being unfair, I checked, US an UK Eng pronunciations, along with Spanish, Portuguese and French! LOL
Honestly it is way way easier now to lay track than it ever was, it took me 3 days to create a full layout for Aurora Falls, when Pine Valley took weeks on end.
I expect that those articulated locomotives had tipping issues compared to regular ones because the front of the boiler literally swings outside the width of the gauge when on sharp corners, letting your weight go on the outside of your tipping line on a curve is kinda the opposite of a motorcycle leaning into a turn.
I find a funny that in this game, this engine can barely go around a mildly sharp corner, but in real life the engine was going up a 7.5% grade around 60° curves:)
i love how you can now select pre laid out tracks as i get overwhelmed trying to figure out ahead of time which side each dock is for what MATS when laying mine out. Loving this full release and how gorgeous the U5 lighting is during sunset.
I had hoped RRO would do a bit more. Character customization would have been nice. They've pulled it out from where it was a couple of years ago, but for me personally it's fell short from what I wanted, especially when you see what Hyce is working on and what Derail Valley has accomplished. It's hard not to compare and on it's own it's okay, but it's just okay.
I wish one of these games had tools for changing terrain. Lower/raise/level land. Ability to make tunnels. Every time I have tried to play RRO I get annoyed that the best way to play the game is to raise all the tracks up into the air because you can't smooth out the land.
@@RandomDogsons The Irony of Railroader is that they set a much higher bar at launch than RRO did and made me feel that every single penny was worth it for the game instead of the partial regret of buying RRO.
Now I really want to watch a series on the Mesa map, no prelaid track, where you incorporate the tunnels and maybe build a couple towns around the industries with passenger stations! Been watching your RRO videos since the first one came out and was just starting to miss it when this dropped
I'm just excited for that articulated beast The game strayed pretty far from its original vision which is sad. But I'm still excited for this update because it's fun and I am a simpleton
I'm happy that you have then can base you do and make the content you do but I've always been here for the way you do trains. I don't have a PC strong enough to build tracks and seeing the ways you'd go was always entertaining. Glad they convinced you back to it
kAN: derailed the train. My brain: "kANage" (instead of carnage xD) Love to see the series back on the channel ❤ Get Kosmo in the series and maybe dapper and hyce, so that you could all lay tracks between industries at the same time and maybe have multiple trains operating at once later on.
I'm one of the few that can't stand building. So all of this actually makes me want to play again! I haven't played in years and this just brought a new life to it
Without seeing all of the maps, the snow map sounds like it could be a fun challenge for a series. Or at least a map that experiences the seasons such that you would need to deal with the snow at some point
That 2 6 6 2 is a Super Chonk of an Engine ,would be cool to watch you and Hyce Run 2 of those engines and full train up the grade .. Great to See you back on RROL
Cars coming off the track and floating mid-fall, following a locomotive that visually wasn't physically coupled into them at any point, really does not scream "v1.0 release" to me.
I LOVE the decorations and stuff they've added and I'm super excited for the Adventurer dlc! I rebuilt their "Staussberg" area on Lake Valley into my own port city.
Coming out on console, I asked on reddit last year about the possibility and was told unlikely. As a non PC player who has wanted to play this game since watching these videos, I'm so happy. 😊
I never considered playing this game myself, even though I thought it was a super cool game. But now that there is pre-laid tracks, I think I would very much enjoy playing this game!
Another new feature, when you MU locomotives, they can all be controlled together from the UI instead of having to individually jump to each locomotive to change throttle or brake settings.
I think it would be super cool for you to continue the RO journey and do some map building. The new Mesa map would be solid to see decorated. (And some full-send track as well.)
Not gonna lie, they added a bunch of polish to a turd. It looks professional now, but the foundation under it is still as wonky as it was on day one with speed wiggles and derailing, and I'd imagine still the same lag issues with large trains. 1.0 will most likely mean the game from here on out will be abandoned, or all future content will be dlcs to keep players paying.
@Bandit2033 or Railroads Online 3. Considering the original American Railroads was the first thing that was exactly the same thing as RRO but it was abandoned once they worked on RRO and anyone who gotten the game was screwed over.
I might ACTUALLY play this game now, I just wouldn't have time to start from scratch laying all of the track..... but now all you have to do is run trains and maybe make some modifications/additions.
I'd love to see another multiplayer series gets some friends and they're having a friend that's never played rare with online And I would say Pine Valley just because it's the classic it's the favorite
Horray!!! Its back!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉. And it looks awesome too. Fingers and toes crossed this video does well and also Kan doesn't get frustrated at Railroad online 😉 🤞
Having pre-laid as an option might be my favorite thing. Having countless hours wasted because of an update or a corrupted save really turned me off of the game.
been looking foward to the xbox release for a while now, and this vid will probably realy seal the deal for me :) are there going to be more vids on RO in the future??
Love seeing RRO back again! Can't wait for a new series! The mesa map looks awesome I hope you play that one as it's new, any chance Hyce will be joining you again? Love the team dynamic you guys have
i'm so gonna buy the 2-6-6-2 and the class 125 just to use it's tender, also you can use arrow keys to look down the train and remotely look at each wagon to either load or unload
prelaid maps are great. I like making yards, but the road parts are a kill joy for me. There are some alignements that can be fun to build though. (eg. the switchback you did with Hyce for the coal)

Yeah, Hyce almost definitely won't join.
But it would be cool if kAN found another youtuber with a similar track building style to kAN's style (or at least compatible).
Yeah I would love to hear Hyce's thoughts on the track layout of the prelaid maps too... but yeah that is not gonna happen

It can do any curve without any issues in the game. As long as it isnt at full speed. No locomotive can do that.

Railroader too is just, seems like another league. The big thing RRO has going for it is the ability to make your own track though.
I wish one of these games had tools for changing terrain. Lower/raise/level land. Ability to make tunnels. Every time I have tried to play RRO I get annoyed that the best way to play the game is to raise all the tracks up into the air because you can't smooth out the land.
