I've often thought that Monza with a wider and less bumpy oval would be a helluva circuit in modern cars. The original track was such a wild idea that was never really duplicated (although many American ovals have infield road courses they aren't very good except for Daytona's)
there were proposals some years ago, but the problem is always a matter of money. track performs good for what it is and to restore everything has been deemed too expensive.
the americans like less twisty circuits in general, so maybe there"d be a chance of rebuilding the original Monza, a bit widened, there in its entirety one could possibly appeal to italian americans specifically to fund bringing over another piece of their heritage

In Project Cars 2 i tried to do a 900 lap race at daytona with some road cars (P1, XJ220, F1, 918, LaFerrari) some LMP1, Indycar and F1, even though i was keeping the engine of my Mclaren f1 revving around 6k, i managed to blow it 3 times, here, you're just pushing the shit to maximum and everything stays fine xd. Well done bro.

Yeah, as an American who's been on oval tracks the banking ALWAYS looks WAYYY bigger irl. When your on the bottom looking straight up 15ft at the banking and on top of that the monza oval is one of the steepest ovals in the world! I can't imagine what it looks like irl I bet it's crazy awesome.

With current F1 cars racing at the long circuit, I'd be curious how much trimming of the wings and spoilers the teams would do on the cars; as I recall from the 1968 Italian Grand Prix, some teams, with McLaren coming to mind, scaled back on the appendages for better top-end speed; which paid off for the McLaren team, as Bruce McLaren led in the early going, with teammate Denis Hulme getting the win.
even on "top speed" it was only giving you like a 3rd of the hybrid power (blue bar on left of "gear" app). i dont know about the mod you were driving, but i drove the kunos ferrari f1 car, 2017 i think, the other day and discovered you can just push a button and get full hybrid whenever you want. i love 60s full monza though, that oval is NUTS.
Okay, so your video proves that I have no reason to be afraid of the layout changes that Monza is currently undergoing that are supposed to re-establish the circuit as the temple of speed. Lesmo 2 reportedly will be reprofiled for higher speeds and the Variante della Roggia will be deleted for a straight run from Curva Grande to Lesmo 1. After this video, I'm definitely looking forward to the slipstream battles.
If you want fun try old Monza oval+old GP track with Group 5, had that in a League Race in friday. (In Pcars2) Was a hoot, especially going through the Banker turns in a 935/80 at 300-309 Km/h. Only the bus Stop leading onto the oval was a problem, massive lap one Crash, and later some of US had problems braking for it. (Lack of training due to temps didn't help either.....)

There is now very little motorsports shown on native terrestrial channels, thankfully most of it can be found on here and other websites, I was extremely surprised to be able to watch Le Mans without any sort of subscription as it was on Quest in here the UK.
338kmph that is absolutely nuts, not even the v12’s, V10’s or V8’s can top that speed, this is the kind of tracks F1 needs, high speed, high risk, car taxing tracks, notpussy tracks like the A1 Ring or Abu Dahbi.

Sadly this also shows why the old Monza or Nordschleife cannot be a part of the current f1. Even though it would be no problem safetywise anymore, the 3/4 of the lap you go on full throttle at full speed, which would be a literal torment for the engine and it would pose no challenge for the drivers.
Legio XXI Rapax I saw it in an interview with one racer from 90’s F3. He said the thing with full throttle. Apparently in the 90’s F3 raced at Nordschleife.

You should do modern F1 at the old Oesterreichring. There's a good mod for it for AC or you can do it on Automobilista with stock content. It would be very timely 👍🏼

Homestead Miami has a decent infield section, only problem is that there's just not a lot of room so it really is only suitable for US F4.

When you go high on a banked oval, you carry a bunch more speed through the corner which gives you that speed differential on exit.

Most of the old banking has been removed and the remnants are unserviceable. Plus it's terribly unsafe.
