    I appreciate your videos, i leased a truck through sfi from 2015/2017. Toward the end i was really considering moving the truck to landstar but decided on a company gig. I regreted it big time! Im leased on to a smaller company that lets me self dispatch running the spot. Its been a trying few months but i think we'll start to see things pick back up in the next few months. Do you ever run the midwest?

    What does it mean when you say "to the truck". Is that the portion of the gross that goes to you after the carrier takes thier cut?

      Yes. I just don’t call it mine because it’s the Revenue to the business. The business has multiple bills, I don’t want people to get it confused and think that’s how much I make. Thank you for watching

      I actually inquired about them possibly helping me out, especially since it was a TA that did the service. Funny thing is, no one ever wants to admit fault or take responsibility anymore.

    ay those cameras on tha side of your trucc, what are they for? can you view what it records?

      They are part of the Smartdrive system, there’s one facing out the windshield and one on each side. Schneider had access to them, but not anymore. I could acces them, but Landstar claims that I need to do a $400 update before they can be activated. I think that is bogus though, why does a new truck with a new Smartdrive system on it require a update. I think someone is trying to make a little money since I’m not purchasing the new Smartdrive system from them, which cost $800 and it’s exactly the same thing that I have. I may activate them in the future, but I actually inquired with Landstar about them the other day and I’m still a little irritated about it if you couldn’t tell. Lol

      @@stretchingmileswithstretch7227 yea i mean they deff trying to get in your poccets. but what i dont understand. what exactly is it for? u saif smart drive. like those lane delarture warnings snd shit, or can u jus use them ad a security system for your trailer and stuff at night?? u kno u can install your own. my manz hooked up some dope shit on both sides that watch his trucc at night and he has the monitor in tha bunk. ill b honest tho. those cameras look a lil silly. and is it a landstar requirment? alsoo why wud landstar say u need to pay them anything? it isnt their trucc. u leased through sfi.

      @@412hwc they’re more for insurance purposes. If you get into a accident they can view the footage. They’re not a requirement but landstar will pay me a additional 1/2% on all freight I haul if I activate them through landstar. So, if I activate them then landstar and I both have access to them. It’s really not a bad deal, it just irritates me that they want me to pay 400 for a system that I already have

    I had the same problem. BCO here by the way. Had oil changed at TA went about 20 miles to a rest stop. Truck shut off. Re-primed and went about 50 miles and truck shut off going down the highway. Looked it over and noticed the bottom was loose on the plastic cover.

    So what actually was the problem with the truck? You probably said, but I didn’t catch it water separator what did they fix in 10 minutes?

    • @go_price5031
      @go_price5031 Год назад +2

      He lost prime due to the loose collar around the fuel water separator. It sucked air so that equals crank but no start.

    • @stretchingmileswithstretch7227
      @stretchingmileswithstretch7227  Год назад +2

      Yes, fuel/water separator collar was loose & it sucked air into the system. Service guy tightened the collar back up, primed the system, & the truck started right up. Thank you for watching
