Thank you sir for the video I'm rebuilding my carb for 1952 Plymouth concord and when I took it apart didn't have tha ball bearings now I know where they go thanks to you love your videos
If I don't have 20 to 30 of those carbs I don't have one! LoL I have a couple different styles. And some kits left as well. Plus two new ones still in the box. I used to rebuild them when I was 10 yrs old. Nice Job thanks for sharing.
And that's my carburetor its giving juice to my old 1950 Fargo power wagon and works like a dream good job Mike
Wow Mike! I've been doing carburetors for years and I am not even 5 minutes into this video and have learned 5 things I didn't know previously. Thank you
Haha! Now I gotta tear the thing back down and check my work. Carter 8H E712
Watched the video, got the kit and bought a float from you, rebuilt it and worked like new. your video was all the help I needed. THANKS!
thats my carburetor that you made for my 1950 fargo power wagon that is in EL Salvador and works great
Thank you for not over editing these videos. Nothing bugs me more then the "polished " look of HotRod TV or the likes of them.
Thank you very much for this video, my 1949 Studebaker 2r5 has a BBR-1 and this was very helpful!
I found a 3rd check ball in the bowl when I took it apart. It looks exactly like the small, black check ball they use to plug a hole with after they drill the passages from the factory. I see one just like it near the jet you installed above the accelerator bore. I think this one belongs in the drilled passage that you can see when you look through the bowl float/needle and seat hole. Without the float in and without the needle and seat in, if you look through there I can see a passage drilled through the venturi plate and I'm pretty sure there should be a check ball seated in that hole but I can't quite see if it's there in that carb you're rebuilding. Can I send you a picture?
I had the exact same issue. Would be curious to know, where the 3rd check ball came from.
very helpful , thanks, just got your kit.
Ah Ha! So that's where that little jet I found on the workbench goes? I didn't think that little pin hanging into nowhere made sense.
Very informative, thanks!
Question: you said there is a small and a large check ball. Does this carb. only use one? I can't find anywhere to put the second.
What's the diameter of the larger ball? I already installed 1 ball not knowing they were different sizes...
I have the BXVD-3 carb off of a 1948 Dodge, Its not quite like the one in this video but I noticed the ball that you put in the fuel pump hole. When I took mine apart, it did not have that ball. I'm thinking this carb was apart before and may be the reason it was not there. Do you rebuild carbs also? If you do, could I send you this one and get it rebuilt?
Hey @Mikes Carburetor - Do you sell the pump jet for this carb? I don't see it on your website.
What kind of ultrasonic cleaner do you have?
I cant find the screw valve attaching for the carburetor, I've went to o'Reilly ace hardware and cant find anything
that float adjustment is 5/64 ths tween the float and top of carb bowl it looked like you just guessed at it will that work too mush gap it will flood too little it want start ??????????
Did the 60's Plymouth Fury's with 318 Poly use this same Carter Ball and Ball carb 🤔
Hola, es el que trae el De Soto 1951? Fluid Drive

I could not see the step up jet. What is it? and where does it go. The camera was obscured by your hand
Hey Mike, can I send you my B & B ETW1 for a rebuild, if so how much will that run me including shipping Thanks, Bruce?
Hello mike.
Is there disassembly vedios? I cant get the piston assembly out. Idk if its stuck or press fit.
@@MikesCarburetor it was stuck. Soaking it over night freed it up.
Hi mike you guys where here in chula vista years ago?
@@MikesCarburetor did you sell carburetor like that? Am looking for a 1965 dodge dart slant 6...carter 1 bbl. Here in san diego cs. Its hard to find those
hello could really use your help I just picked up a 1949 Fargo with the one barrel ball & ball but it seems to look a bit different then yours mine has a screw in the top cover facing down like a needle or idle type screw any idea of the year this might be
The screw you are referring to is for the dashpot adjustment which did not allow the throttle to close to quickly to prevent stalling. Is your truck a fluid drive model? Also the engine/ carb could be out of a fluid drive car.
I wish there was a version of this in 10x speed
Ok thanks I found the number it's a DTH1 guess I will hunt down a kit
Mike do you have carburetor for 1928/29 Plymouth Q ..by the way model and make is it ? I just got the car and don't have much info about it ..regards
@@MikesCarburetor Thank you for posting ..looks good however do You think would it suit 4 cyl engine?
my car stop running when the choke come off what could wrong
thanks men
If i don't have 30 or 40 those spare little clip sitting around I don't think I'd have one.
you did not state what the measurement for the float should be! You measured without saying what the measure of the float level should be!!
