Mr X pointed his club straight up at the top of his lethargic looking swing tempo. His bunker play was awesome. I’d bet he was as good as Player if not better.
Great video.
Thank you for bringing back Miller.
Very good video. FYI six years ago, when I was 65 y.o., I went for a series of lessons with a PGA instructor. After eight lessons I wasn't noticing much improvement and questioned the instructor about this. He took out his mobile phone and showed me a photo of Rickie Fowler and how open his hips were at impact. I never went back and worked out by trial and error what worked for me and that included standing further from the ball and having a more upright swing. I now play off a 8 handicap. I also use single length irons.
Best video yet. I need to get in a position that allows my downswing to be just under the plane of my back swing as you have done.
Actually looking at your swing you stay under the Hogan " imaginary pane of glass" as he did, nice.
You are showing that everybody’s is in the same position at contact that obvious. The question is: what is the simple way for most to arrive to contact repeatedly.
I saw Miller play several times in the '70's...incredible ball striker...I heard a story that his swing used to drive Hogan crazy because he couldn't figure out how it could ever work! Love David Lee's instruction...didn't realize that he had passed...what a loss to the game...
It is interesting where you draw your swing plane. I have always seen drawn thru the shaft at address. I noticed you don’t do it that way. Can you explain why draw it the way you do?
Simplicity is best. The less time you practice, the more important it is .
I guess we can debate whether your swing is single-plane or not. Especially when you admit to coming off plane in the backswing. Simply put, you just have a flat golf swing.
Does the same hold true when u pitch the golf ball? Thanks
I completely disagree. You are not obliged to but it much much more simple to do. Less moving parts adress and hit same position. Yes only count the contact with the ball and this is a very precise moment very difficult to reproduce. Single plan helps people with less talent to enjoy
