This Rosette is Mesa's first attempt I believe in making an amp for acoustic guitar. They r good makers & eventually I believe they'll exceed the quality of L R Baggs amps. Cheers.
I like these 'quick look' vids. Interesting to hear the recordings via your phone/rode mic too. We've shot a few quick demos the same way only with a Shure MV88 mic. I think I prefer my Shure mic but your playing! :)
What tuner app are you using John? I've found that almost all the tuner apps are very slow to respond and almost unusable :( The latency / lag is just terrible with them, at least from my own experience
I guess the person making this video did not know they are supposed to plug their expression electronics from there Taylor guitar into the microphone portion of the amplifier not the instrument portion to get the best effect from that guitar.
I've yet to hear anything that sounds like a mic'ed acoustic through the Mesa Rosette in any of the reviews. I love Mesa amps but this one is a no go for me. Just my opinion.
Well was simply saying that Revera makes a tube high end acoustic combo and some of the greatest pre WW2 stuff was tube. Its like Mesa is not really leading bit more jumping on a band wagon 30+ years after Fender/ Marshall/Laney..................already covered the idea.
I guess they never made an acoustic amp before. They have however made solid state amps with their bass amps. I guess they just decided they can use the high headroom design from their bass lineup to create an acoustic amp. This isn't the first time Mesa Boogie made amps that the masses might find a bit left field. They even made a valve powered hi-fi system a long time ago
We just got the amp, and we plan on doing a proper review in a few weeks, but figured we'd do a quick-hit, live shot in John's living room. Casual and fun! Thanks for stopping by.
Loved the sound of the Dobro.

My favorite part is his mandolin rendition of Pop Goes the Weasel
I thoroughly enjoyed viewing

How many knobs are too many ? Count the knobs on any Boogie and divide by two.
Nice Weber!

This video reminds me how much I want a mandolin and a resonator.

Pop goes teh weasel!
It could be a good jazz amp.
What kind of pickup is in that dobro?
I can't remember I put it in there like a decade ago. Sorry.
Thanks anyway. If you're ever playing in n.y. please let me know.I'll bring all my insane buddys!!!
A solid state Boogie??? have they lost they're fricking minds?

That's right I remember now. Want to talk high head room what about the 400+ what early 80s tube Boogies?
Want to talk high headroom, what about their 400+ watt tube amps in the 80s?
They should really get some bluegrassers to demo these things. Ripping a bunch of classic rock riffs on an acoustic amp is pointless.
Right, that mandolin was so classic rock.
ok sorry askd n answered i should watch the vid first lol
Oh come on, please make a proper professional video.....
