I reverted to Islam January 13, 2023 and it’s been the most amazing experience and journey of my life. But just like you and I’m sure many others there was a time in my life where I succumbed to the propaganda and thought I hated Islam and Muslims. Thought it was evil and poison because I was so caught up in the real poison that I couldn’t see it any other way. And then, God lead me to the straight path and I’m so glad he did ❤️

I used to be a Roman Catholic and hated Islam. I insulted many muslims and when I got challenged to a debate, I got defeted because my muslim opponent knows my bible more than me. I started to investigate. And I reverted rightaway with no hesitation. The very best decision ever and I would never trade it over anything the earth has. Alhamdulillah!
I was born and raised as a Muslim, then became an atheist. This was because of my anger over the 9/11 tragedy, the Bali Bombing-I, & the Bali Bombing-II.
2 months later, after much thought, I came to believe in the existence of God, but I had not yet chosen a religion (agnostic). Then I studied all religions with their books...; Bible, Veda, Baqawat Ghita, Tripitaka, and also the Koran.
After considering all that, I finally believed in the truth of the Koran, but many of its adherents distorted their understanding, so I returned to Islam.
BTW...the contents of the Veda and Tripitaka are very interesting to read, many understandings are similar to Islam, even though there are differences in terms.

@@annaonna17 while the term whiteness is mainly a social construct and problematic in a lot of ways, if we generalize it can mean people of European descent since most Europeans appear “white’” Even though a European can have dark complexions as well and still be more European than someone who is “Whiter”. However, given that Europe has had long and hard conflicts with the Islamic world and today holds a negative view of Islam, I think it’s very important to highlight white Europeans who are Muslim as a means to show that we indeed can co exist in peace. European Muslims get pressurized a lot from other Europeans as being “Traitors” and what not and let’s not forget that Muslims also have a dark history towards Europeans where they’ve sold Europeans as slaves and often fetishize Europeans. Let’s not jump on the leftist bandwagon where white men are held responsible for every little thing and are often denied their right to preserve their identity and heritage and culture without being labeled racist and what not, it’s extremely polarizing. Now you see a rise of right wing extremism all over Europe because of this. Instead, the Muslim world should ensure us European Muslims have a place in the Muslim world as well and that in turn will for sure level out white supremacy and conflict between us. Otherwise you are just putting us in an awful spot because of your hatred of whites due to colonialism and everything but understand that we also have a right to preserve our identity as does a Muslim Kurd, Turk, Berber, Sudanese, Malaysian, Palestinian etc etc. let’s normalize being a white Muslim instead of this toxic polarization and you will see even more Europeans embracing Islam and it will make this world so much better. bru! blessings be heaped upon the reverts, they enter jannah/heaven first. for us born with the gift of Islam we can but only lose it, but reverts have had to fight for the truth, despite all they have been through they still found my boss Allah (s.w.t). this honors and humbles us all. yaa rabb protect and uplift the ummah with blessings and not tests.

I was born in culturally Muslim family, but later became liberal/atheist in my mid 20s, but close to my 30th birthday. I became super depressed and realized I was missing something hence I went on a journey to study the world religions on a deeper level. It really boiled down to Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. But ultimately Islam made the most sense to me was the whole package as it has rules/views to every aspect of life while acknowledging that we are human (flawed). Love your great work as always! :)

No thanks mate. The Quran is interesting as a religious text, but it doesn't speak to my heart. I have a lot of time for Sufis though... and the Alevi's have a good philosophy/approach.
I was born in a Catholic family and Im an atheist since my childhood. Thats not going to change.
Having said that, I can say that I (a woman) visited different muslims countries alone and I only encountered nice people who would open their houses for me, feed me and respect me. I never had a trouble. Most welcoming people ever.
Other's religion is not a problem for me, thats their personal choice as not having one is mine.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I am an atheist and watch his channel because of the respect he has for truth and his sincere love for Muslims around the world. That he openly states that he is not a Muslim makes me see him as an honest and truthful person.

Great episode! Before I was aware of the islamophobia industry, I stumbled across a book that seemed very scholarly with multiple citations. The book argued that Islam was an inherently violent religion unlike other religions, and I was briefly taken in by the lie. Luckily my mind wasn't completely closed, and I eventually found other sources and learned about the islamophobia industry. I've been supporting this program through patreon. It's a very important cause for everyone who believes in the inherent dignity and worth of humanity from all walks of life. 💚🌍

This brought tears to my eyes. I’m happy for you CJ, you were able to break out of the hate and propaganda and see the truth. I truly pray that one day the entire world wakes up to the truth and realizes that Muslims are not bad and Islam is not the problem. I was a little child when 9/11 happened, I have grown up in Islamophobia and looked at with suspicion in a country I was born and raised in, a country I call home because I don’t know any other home. My entire childhood and early adulthood have been spent in trying to defend myself, making others feel at “ease” and “comfortable” around me. So listening to and watching this brought all the emotions and pain out. CJ, thank you so much for this. As a Muslim in the states, there’s always questions about Islam that I get from non Muslims which I have no idea how to answer (I’m no scholar). I recently realized that I have to understand my religion clearly to explain it to others, so I’m doing more research about it. Your channel gives me an insight of what I should look into. Thank you!
CJ, your RESPECT in my eyes has increased further, just when I thought it couldn't be better. Need to learn a lot from you to cure myself. As stated earlier, I've started looking into QURAN and I'm very anxious, restless, intrigued, puzzled, emotional (most of the times), regretful and thousand other emotions at the same time. I keep asking myself: WTH was I doing all these years? This book was right under our noses, and there is only ONE not 4 like our Vedas or 18 like the Puranas or a Million like the other mythological stories of Ramayana, Mahabharatha, Krishnakatha etc. Why dint I read QURAN 10 years ago??? I see my family and community in general deeply entrenched into Hating Muslims in India. I know its like scaling the Everest to even try to explain them anything related to Islam and I may be disowned for this from my relatives, but I'm willing to take the RISK. I find myself equally adamant. I was headstrong in HATE and IGNORANCE, I'll be relentless in the pursuit of JUSTICE and TRUTH now. I've been a hardcore Islamophobe till a couple of years ago myself and your journalism has helped me open my eyes. So, thanks again, mate. You're the MAN!!

I was born as a Muslim and prayed daily, and took my understanding of Islam from simplistic sources. After studying Astro-Physics, Eisenstein relativity theory, big bang Black Holes ...etc. I gradually become bewildered and could not reconcile my new learned science with my what really was simplistic understanding of Islam and the Quran.
Although I became a millionaire only 7 years after starting working but I was a misrable human being. I shared my religious doubts with my wife of 9 years. Then one day she told me that there is a speaker who will be speaking about Quran and Science; and it turned to be the scholar Zakir Naik (May Allah bless him) (this was a round 1999-2000). I listen to his lecture and he hit most of the doubts points on Islam. I bought all his tapes and I embarked on 2 years journey of studying the Quran with various sources of translations. and became after a couple of years a devout Muslim; and was longer lost and misrable spiritually.
My study of the Quram resolved my most nagging questions beyond Astro-Phyiscs, which were: why I am here in this world? why did G-d created me? what if I did not want to be created at all? although this last one, I have not resolved 100%, but I am content nevertheless.

CJ, your transformation is a sign of Allah's mercy. Your heart softened for Islam because your soul craves to return to the truth. Don't let your mind starve your soul. Nobody knows when they will breath their last on this earth. I urge you, and I pray to Allah to give you the strength to declare the shahada and return to the Truth before its too late. Once inside the fold of Islam, you can continue to learn the nitty gritty, but do take that leap as soon as you can.

As a Christian, I disliked Islam at first because I thought it was barbaric and violent, especially after reading about the violence against Christians in places like the Middle East. After reading both the Bible and parts of the Quran however, I realized how much our values align (such as objection to LGBTism, set gender roles, loyalty to your nation) and how Muslims are often the main defenders of social conservatism from anti theistic, liberal attacks. I disagree with Islamic theology on many levels, but I find them to be by far the closest religion to us.
1-Jesus, Mary, and the angel Gabriel are all prominent characters in the Qur’an (as are Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and a bunch of other Bible characters).
2- Muslims believe that Jesus (called “Isa” in Arabic) was a prophet of God and was born to a virgin (Mary). They also believe he will return to Earth before the Day of Judgment to restore justice and defeat al-Masih ad-Dajjal, or “the false messiah” - also known as the Antichrist. All of this may sound pretty familiar to many Christians. (The fact that Muslims know that “al-Masih ad-Dajjal” is the Arabic name for the Antichrist created.
2- Mary (called “Maryam” in Arabic) has an entire chapter in the Qur’an named for her - the only chapter in the Qur’an named for a female figure. In fact, Mary is the only woman to be mentioned by name in the entire Qur’an. As noted in the Study Quran, “other female figures are identified only by their relation to others, such as the wife of Adam and the mother of Moses, or by their title, such as the Queen of Sheba.” Mary is mentioned more times in the Qur’an than in the entire New Testament of the Bible.
4- Just as they do with all the other prophets, including Mohammed, devout Muslims recite “peace be upon him” after every time they refer to Jesus by name.
5- Muslims believe that Jesus performed miracles: The Qur’an discusses several of Jesus’s miracles, including giving sight to the blind, healing lepers, raising the dead, and breathing life into clay birds.
6-The story of Jesus’s birth as told in the Qur’an is also the story of his first miracle, when he spoke as an infant in the cradle and declared himself to be a prophet of God. Here’s the story:
7- They both believe that practising their religion is good for them because it creates harmony and peace.
8- They believe that Satan is real and tries to tempt people away from God and to commit sins.
9- They believe that paradise/heaven and hell are real literal places.
10- Christians and Muslims believe that the body is sacred and should be treated with respect.
11- They both believe that family is a foundation of their beliefs, and it has a big impact on society.
12- Muslims and Christians believe that obeying God creates peace and harmony among people and brings blessings in the life after death.
13- Both faiths also believe in the afterlife.
14- Both religions believe that humans will have a day of judgement and will be judged for the lives they lead on earth. For Christians, it determines whether they will go to Heaven or Hell for the rest of eternity. For Muslims, they refer to the afterlife as Akhirah - they will stay in their graves until the end of the world when they have their day of judgement. They will come before Allah (God) and if they have lived a good life they will go to Jannah (Heaven), but if they have lived a bad life they will go to Jahannam (Hell).

The crazy thing is that our religion, so beautiful I’ve never once in my life hated a Christian Jew, or any other human being because our religion teaches us to love humanity. That’s when I realize that Islam is the truth and other religions is not. Why hate Islam? My only explanation is that their book comes from a man. Every time I talk to non-Muslim, they will say “I used to hate Islam” and I’m just like why? Because my religion is beautifulonly teaches us to love others, and so as my parents, they raised me to be tolerate and loving. So I didn’t understand What the non-Muslim are talking about. with with that being said, I am forever Grateful to Allah for making me a Muslim. Allahmduliallah for Islam.
