For a minute there, I thought this was the return of Chappy.
OMG the lore 😂
This was in Westwego, Louisiana.
In fairness to this place, their prices aren't nearly as outrageous as what Chappy was charging at the time. Some of the prices are comparable in today's economy but the Chappy episode was 12 years ago.
Took a crappy in my gumbo
1:24 Chef: "I've been in the business longer than him."
Me: "And how many Michelin stars do you have?"
"Michelin sells tyres, I sell food and quality knorr pot stock"

@@sentboumaster3436 Are you trying to defend the poorly run restaurant?
This guy for sure puts a lot of emotion into his cooking just not the ones that make it taste good 😂.
Look eccentric, I'm going to say this once and once only. I'm a hotdog.
@@pondreezynobody will believe you.
@@fakename6658 I knew this would happen 😔
I had to double take when he said 30 years = 1995.
Imagine someone born in 1995 cooks better than him, age and experience doesn't matter, it's about personality and experience
@@sentboumaster3436u said exspirence doesn't matter then says it does lmao. Age does matter to a degree to. But that's only referring to juvenile mind frames you should grow out of before 30 lol
Quiet down ffs reminding us of our age
A part of me likes to think that 10 years ago was 1999
It hurts my soul when that happened
you can tell how calm Gordon became as he got older .. back in the old Kitchen Nightmares if the owner said to him what that guy said at the end we would've heard atleast 20 **BEEPS** in 10 seconds
To be fair, the tone of the original, British Kitchen Nightmares was much closer to this. Perhaps if he was so aggressive in the original US Kitchen Nightmares, it's because there was a producer coaching him in that direction.
@@pixelghostclyde8717 This is what I was thinking. The editing and tone of this new season (from what I can gather from this clip anyway) seems very reminisicient of the original British show. I think this is how Gordon prefers to do things.
I also prefer it; the old seasons are exciting but the editing can get really grating when you've watched enough episodes to be able to notice every little jump cut and sound effect
that would happen only in the idiotic american version, with the dramaticv music, cuts and everything repeated three or four times so the audience finally twigs what's what
The fact that the girl lied & said that everything was fresh l. Not frozen was diabolical. But she's willing to go down with her dad.
In her defense, in disaster restaurants, the service staff is not trained properly and probably has no clue that everything they serve is coming out of the freezer. The "chef" probably tells them everything is fresh.
@@furiogiunta7886 I agree
@@furiogiunta7886Oh I ABSOLUTELY disagree! Waiting on staff always know because every time they go in there, they see the chefs cooking or taking it out of the freezer!!!
She knew and she lied.
@@theastral1909 I manage restaurants, you'd be surprised how oblivious service staff can be to what is going on in the kitchen.
@ You pay peanuts - you get monkeys.
I’ve never worked in a restaurant where any waiting on didn’t have a rough working knowledge of what was going on.
Are you in the US? I’m in the UK.
If I was you I wouldn’t confuse being genuinely oblivious with the concept of seeing but not caring.
Us living in the south of Louisiana was hyped for this one
I can't imagine sitting in a restaurant watching Ramsay returning all the same dishes that I just ordered.🤢
Why does every dish come with two slices of bland white bread? What a weird accompaniment. One even has bread under the fries!
I thought I was the only one who noticed that.....wanted to check before commenting and voila! Here you are 😂
Because Bread is cheap and easy to throw on a plate and fill space.
Same as rice
It's fairly common in some parts of the South & Texas if it's like a cheap barbecue or soul food joint or even a church plate
Fries don't soak up sauce too well now, do they?
Soak up grease😂
I love how they all blame the customers for not liking the garbage they serve them and then charge them for it.
She has such a unique voice.
The Flounder Lafitte actually looks good.
Me: "That looks pretty good."
Gordon Ramsay: "Disgusting."
Me: *starts the Spanish Inquisition*
0:09 The shock and horror displaced Ramsay's British accent?
then why invite gordon if u cannot take criticism
I could really go for some fried frog legs right now 😋
Everythings fresh she says
I just have to say this.. frozen shrimp is one of the most ubiquitous things in restaurants of all time. I’ve been working in restaurants for 14 years and have never even encountered fresh shrimp, and I live in a coastal city. Nobody gets fresh shrimp. They just never, ever do. The labor involved in cleaning and deveining them just to make shrimp cocktail is insanely impractical, and if you cook frozen shrimp correctly, no human on earth could tell the difference. They’re still great. Every shrimp cocktail you’ve ever eaten in your life was previously frozen, and that is essentially a guarantee. I understand that this show capitalizes on people not knowing how restaurants actually function, and so Gordon can go in knowing full well that they use frozen shrimp, and make a big deal about it. But not only is it not a big deal.. every restaurant does this. And it’s completely fine.
Id rather have frozen shrimp than fresh spoiled shrimp
If it was fresh, it wouldn't be spoiled. Or did you mean "cooked badly" as opposed to "rotten?"
Sorry, don't mean to sound rude, just wondering if I've misinterpreted your comment.
@@peterclarke7006no yeah I was thinking the same
He tells ppl that it's not that hard to find a supplier that you can get from daily especially if it's specific ingredients like shrimp if you have shrimo on the menu you shoukd be buying it fresh regularly not frozen monthly
I like Janet. Janet is supportive of her dad but knows he needs to change.
Where can I watch these full episodes??
People imagine themselves a “chef,” and gain the arrogance, but none of the humility of really great chefs.
The frog legs are so fresh, they bread themselves. Probably not though.
If you made gumbo bland, you did something **very** wrong.
This place is right behind my house, for years my family and I refuse to go here. But I think it’s time to change that
It's giving Vicki Vallencourt! And I can't unsee it 🥴
“The place is a dump.
The chef is a sad sack.”
-Mother Teresa
Funny they call him there to help fix their restaurant then tell him he doesn’t know how to cook their food is amazing etc etc 🤯🤯🤯🤯….. why’d you call him then ?
"I've been in the business longer than him"
I mean, you can do something for 30 years and have someone come along having only done it for a few years be better than you.
The amount of time you've partaked in an activity doesn't always equate to being good at it.
Particularly not if you've spent those 30 years not learning a single thing other than how to use a microwave.
y beg knowing your food is so bad plus no effort into the cooking, just splashing frozen bits on a plate
Titanic captain, going down
Is that an IWC watch ?
LOOKS LIKE GRAVY SAL TO ME BECAUSE HE WON'T CHANGE HIS RECIPES!!!!!!!
I'll eat all of that!
Can someone tell me the episode
What episode is this? It‘s not Season 2 Episode 4 that’s for sure
I think you mean 6 X 15
Not everything fresh 😂
You had me at flounder ball
He looks around before he takes a bite. Like a dog. It’s obvious he knows he won’t like it before filming.
A lot of good cooks can spot poor food, particularly frozen/reheated food just by looking at it. Eating it confirms it, obviously, but they know what fresh food looks like, and none of that looked fresh.
I'd be intrigued to know what they're charging, though.
that platter just looked a mess! American restaurants 😂😂
As a perfidious Briton, my first thought was "wow. They must have taken their presentation lessons from my local fish and chips cafe (which I refuse to eat at)." 😂
@ 😂😂😂
Ramsey visiting a McDonald : "blimey ! This doesn't taste like Wagyu beef at all!"
I miss Gordon Ramsey shows.
Frog is seafood?
Is trout?
@@DA-te5be sigh..Google it. Trout can return to the sea, and there are a several different kinds of trout. Not being chippy, just fyi..
Trout, yes.@@DA-te5be
My question exactly😂😂😂
it's very hard to make gumbo bland
I’m sorry but I’m not eating something with the word FLEET in it
It's Lafitte as in the famous pirate
Haven't seen this one yet, but the clips feel like a real case of Ramsay missing the gap between fine dining and diner style "no fluff feed the American town every day for 30 years" food.
The music is too much omg
This is just amazing food and Gorsan knows that!
Stop the bgm and do the real talk

this might be a bit off-topic, but has anyone else noticed how often Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane comes up in video comments? i finally caved and read the book, and wow-it’s worth the buzz. it’s not just some feel-good advice; it actually gives you tools to focus your energy and make things happen. it’s subtle at first, but then you start to see how much of a difference it makes in how you approach your goals
