Me and my husband had a hard time getting pregnant. Remember when we were at a party, I had just had a miscarriage two weeks before, and I got the question “why don’t you want kids? What are you waiting for”. My heart dropped. I was HEARTBROKEN! Please people, stop asking about kids! Just don’t. It’s private.
So sorry you went through that😢 I’m 20 and have just never really wanted kids and don’t see myself with kids. I get so annoyed when family members argue with me telling me I’m gonna have kids one day because they just CANT believe a woman wouldn’t want kids. I couldn’t imagine wanting them so bad and having a miscarriage and people asking that. Some people struggle and some people just don’t want kids! People need to mind their business and quit asking those questions

I had two losses in 2021 and one of those were at 18w pregnant...I was able to hold and see my beautiful son. I'm so, so sorry you went through that, as well as having to deal with all the cringy, pithy comments from people. It's hard ❤

I feel like people don't realize how much society standards affect us as people. Back in the day, women wwere EXPECTED to have children. Now it's an option and people forget that. I watching watching Fool Coverage when they interviewed desi Perkins and her ad laura had a good conversation about it

So many years ago, Reese Witherspoon was asked her #1 piece of advice about your wedding. Apparently on her wedding day(to Ryan phillipe) all the flowers were wrong. She got super stressed out and someone told her she was the only one who knew the flowers were wrong. To everyone else, everything is perfect. So don’t stress about those kinds of details😊

So true that any wedding can be a beautiful experience! Doesn't matter the amount of guests or money spent. Me and my Husband got married in secret, only our priest and our chosen 3 witnesses knew. We spent like 700 bucks on ceremony, dinner with the "wedding party", AND one night at a hotel. It was perfect.
Congrats to you both. As a retired wedding planner I am glad you did it your way. The day truly is about you both and not someone that you haven’t seen in years. When my daughter got married, I was her planner. I told her to do what she wanted and not to worry about hurting someone feelings. Best of luck to you both. 🥂

The map on the tux and all the little details of it was the coolest wedding thing I've ever seen. Wow. Well freaking done Jordan! The whole wedding sounded amazing.
And yes, NEVER ask a woman when she's going to have kids or if she's pregnant. Just don't. Unless she herself tells you she's pregnant, keep your trap SHUT. My Mom once asked a woman when she was due and she wasn't pregnant. People carry weight in unexpected ways sometimes or could have a tumor or something so just never ask unless she says she is or is wearing a baby on board t-shirt. lol This day and age, women seem to have a really hard time getting pregnant or have a few miscarriages no one knows about so you just never know what kind of land mine you'll step on there so just NEVER ask. I know it's hard and so tempting and it's something to make conversation, but this is one subject it's better to just stay OUT of.

I’m getting married in April 2024 and I’ve been watching Jaclyn since the apartment days and seeing her and Jordan this happy is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! The way they look at each other the whole time is so beautiful!
I was given a piece of advice 35 years ago before my wedding which I gave to my daughter & her fiance before theirs. Simply to be sure to stop & take some moments to take it all in because it can go by in a blur if you don't. I'm so glad you had those moments.

When I was engaged and preparing to go wedding dress shopping, I swore that I was going to have to go multiple bridal shops to find the one...I also went to this first small bridal boutique and found the one about 3 in. It is such a special and relieving feeling to find the dress for your big day and be done with it lol. Congrats to you guys! Your wedding was gorgeous down to the menus. So happy for you both

we did a taco and nacho bar at our wedding and the instead of a big cake we did a bunch of mini cheese cakes and then made a cheesecake bar so they could add any toppings they wanted
