  • We slowly cruise southern Georgian Bay during our first week on the Great Loop, practicing anchoring - one of which we abort - and enjoying beautiful Ontario sunsets. We get some good hikes in, and find hot showers and laundry at Killbear Provincial Park. Anchoring is getting easier for Sandra, and Chris swims from the boat any opportunity he gets. We take the dinghy to Hole-in-the-Wall and try to find the cliff jumping spot.

Georgian Bay is a drop dead gorgeous, beautiful place. I sometimes scuba dive in the town of Tobermory which lies at the tip of the Bruce peninsula. It has the best fresh water scuba diving in the world. Lots of wrecks and wonderful shore dives. Even if you don't scuba dive you must vacation there at least once in your life.

If you want the real 'Hole in the wall" you'll need the dinghy and a trip behind the Ojibway in shawanaga bay.I love your video

Makes me realize my boat will have to be big enough to have its own washer dryer.. looks awesome!

Great hiking at Killbear for some well needed exercise for boaters. Was there 3 times this past summer. I’m enjoying your channel. Thank you. 🇨🇦

Pretty cool! I think a few of the spots would have been a little too intense for me! Andrew would have looked to find the jump off!! Lol.

Would be cool to see a map graphic each time of where you are on the America's Great Loop.. Like where you started and where you ended.

Would love to know about the chairs that you sat on the bow while you ate. Need to get a couple of them.

They were sewn by the previous owner. We've since upgraded to some commercial ones. They hinge in the middle and lie flat to store. But they are 3" cushions basically which we purchased at West Marine.

Yes we are pretty happy with it. I've noticed since we've added the new chain it comes up to the windless in the wrong orientation and it won't flip so the round bar is topside. Tge windlass won't finish raising it when it comes up that way. Not sure why...maybe it needs one fewer links between it and the swivel? I haven't put this forward to Chris yet. We haven't had anything but this Rocna anchor but we are told it's a good one!

Rocnas sometimes do that. Use a boat hook when anchor i near the roller to give it a slight push. It will orient itself then. Also painf your chain every 20 feet..this way you count markers and always know how much is out. Just found your channel. We sail out of penetanguishene

This was so nerve-wracking to watch...that spot; although protected; it was too shallow for comfort.

Never put your fingers near that windlass or anchor chain please. Sorry you scared me.
