America's Great Loop: Parry Sound, Ontario

After more than three weeks exploring southern Georgian Bay we stop for a week in Parry Sound. We make a trip to Toronto for appointments and to pick up items for the boat. We make multiple trips to re-provision and take some time to have some fun with our new drone.

Question for cruising. I see you got a larger fridge, and it’s packed with food after your shopping trip. What do you do for cold beverages? Any ice? Or have you just resorted to warm drinks?

We can put beverages in the fridge! We pull over 2-4 at a time and replenish from other storage. We have an ice tray but I find it's a hassle to make it and keep up with it. So, we buy bagged ice when we are making home made iced tea (and I know I'll use 1/4 of that bag in the jug that goes in the fridge. And then we use ice from the 3/4 full bag in the freezer. It works just fine but we can't buy bagged ice when the freezer is totally packed with food or there is no room for it. We had thought that we would have a plug in freezer we would keep elsewhere for overflow...but we don't need it with this bigger fridge/freezer. I haven't had a warm drink yet! We love, love, love the new fridge/freezer. (Sandra)
